Srimal in regards to equal rights, i am assuming you believe that all Sri Lankans regardless of ethnic group should have equal rights, rite? (i know that a lot of Sinhala ppl believe they should have superior rights to others thats why i am only assuming). If your ppl could give gurantees that none of the grievances mentioned in the following articles will happen, then peace will come:

This is why Tamils ask for Federalism, because they feel that under complete Sinhala rule they can never get justice e.g. for all we know the remaining Tamils in trinco may be chased away to make room for Sinhala encroachers under the orders of the GoSl via the military etc.
