Any body Sinhalese, Muslim, or Tamil, ask a question yourself. Q: If you are not in favour of tabling genuine proposals for substantive devolution, will you go and send your children to join the Security Forces or LTTE to fight?
If the answer is yes, why haven't you done it yet?

AIR FORCE KFIR JETS launched air strikes on an identified Tiger military base in ILLUPPADICHENA around 9.30 a.m. today (18)
According to technical and field intelligence sources this base had been used by the tigers to train their cadres and to launch attacks on the Security Forces.

I hope Mahinda will not let this situation get out of hand and the scheduled peace talks progresses. Saner counsel should prevail for the good of the country. Nothing has been achieved in the last 20+ years of conflict.
A good country has been brought to ruin by incompetent politicians who never got the bigger picture. Leaders without vision have created a military state with very little accountability in public services and where war has become a convenient tool for politicians.
Isn't it time to find ways of ending this madness? How long will the two main communities keep fighting and killing each other while the rest of the world progresses? |

People outside the srilanka who pump money think tigers doing good to tamils .do you realise vast majority of tamils who can run away from tiger control area living with sinhala people.poor tamils who cann't go away living in real hell.I work volantaraly at north and east at the time of tsunamy and show......
100% true. Tamils are suffering in the NE becasue of these LTTE. Those a$$hole in abroad think that they're pumping money for the goodness of their own people. Compare the difference between tamil ppl and sinhalese replying here. You can see that all of them wish this country to go to worse in terms of economy etc.. Have they ever thought abt the Tamil ppl living here ..?? Tamils run to LTTE areas from SLA controlled areas, sail to India in delipidated boats risking their lives and to the South because
1. SLA and paramilitaries abduct, extort money and kill them,
2. Basic foodstuffs are prevented from reaching them and escape from starvation,
3. Their homes are occupied by the SLA/SLN
The army check points have the statistics of people leaving and entering LTTE areas. The army has closed check points to stop movements of civilians and essentials.
You must withdraw the army/navy from Northeast and see if Tamils still want to live in the South. |
