The south has to show the rest of the world how a united sri lanka would be. Innocent tamil folk who live in the South should not become the indirect victims of LTTE terrorism. Attack the LTTE in the North in every which way possible but we must not hurt innocent tamil civilians in the South as revenge for LTTE atrocities - however, we must be vigilant as the LTTE is bound to have infiltrated the South. Tough line to follow but we cannot stoop to their level.
Blessings to all the SLDF personnel fighting to keep our homeland safe from LTTE terrorism. |

Five explosive laden vessels under the guise of fishermen have come for the attack. Three suicide boats were completely destroyed by the Navy whilst the other two exploded themselves at the close proximity to the harbour.
Naval sources said that two Naval Inshore Patrol Craft (IPC's), were severely damaged due to explosions. However, the extent of the damage is yet to be assessed. a sailor has been killed and at least 26 others including civilians have suffered injuries due to the incident.

Latest news--Riots have broken out in Galle..Tamil shops are burning etc..Indefinite curfew imposed in Galle..

As someone wrote in another thread, no one takes any notice of whats being written here, its just a way of venting ones anger. But all the chest-thumping and war-mongering isn't going to get us any where. |

How come cowards become heroes ?
Why do they use innocent civillians to shield their territory and blame on us when we hit Vanni ? is this your so-called heroism..??
Why do they use 12 yr old kids to fight against the army ..?
Why do they always send the innocent civillians with arms in every battle as the first set ? Is this the heroism ?
Heck .. they tried to bribe the US to smuggle their weapons huh ?? Is this heroism ?

Have to dis-appoint the LTTE 'cheer group' ..
Three (03) boats had tried to get into the Galle Harbour .. these had been engaged by SL Navy and sunk (or blown up).. all killed. In one of the explosions, a naval rating had been killed .. another eleven admitted to Karapitiya Hospital, where they are receiving treatment - none serious.
There is a curfew declared in Galle .. and a search is in progress for apprehending those believed to have beached two (02) boats, and come ashore. Cordon and search operation in the Rumassala Hills. So far, three (03) tiger-cadres caught .. |
