SLN must continue to strengthen defense of Galle harbor.
Must use layered defense just in case of fanatical attacks like this.
I hope it was not just Dvoras that challenged the boat, but also powerful anti-boat guns on land. |

When things like this happen, how can we say the tamils are living happliy with us..in the south
We sinhalese have no responibility to make tamil cannibals happy while they are supporting ruthless war against us.
They have to choose one side, either Sri lanka or LTTE. If they choose sri lanka then we should protect them, if not they have to go somewhere.
we should not get attacked from both sides.
They enjoy our freedom at the same time attack us on the back. |

1) Assessing the situation, the attacking boats cannot be big and mounted with weapons cos they cannot pass as fishermen. So they are like sitting ducks for naval attack boats.
2) The more bombs on board, the slower the small boats will move, and they cannot have too many engines cos they are to disguise as fishing boats.
3) LTTE's attampt to try and weaken the navy and at the same time failing will only strengthen the navy more. For example if 2 inshore boats are destroyed, the Navy will either deploy 2 better boats or increase the number of boats to replace the lost vessels.
4) Failed attacks or near failed attacks means, SLN now knows a strong target the LTTE wants to aim at.
5) It was too quick for LTTE to attack the navy again. I mean they needed to wait a bit till GOSL's wounds healed.
6) Soosai will be in torture jail soon if this was another flop.
7) SLN should look for LTTE frogs in the area with Sea mines!
8) Colombo port will acquire additional security in the wake of this attack.
9) The international scale will tilt towards GOSL now after the Muhamalai attack.
10) India is not keen with Sea Tigers so they'll wanna put a hand into this Sea Tiger mess.
BUT if the LTTE have managed to hit their target and execute their plans, then lookout for more! |
