I feel very sorry for the families of the sailors who have died. My condolences to them. It si very sad indeed.
Sad indeed.....Tamils racists now cheer things up now would cry foul after the next bombing run finishes.....then it would be Sinhalese racists turn to cheer up!!!

I don't rejoice at anyone's death, sinhalese or tamil. I think this 'war' has gone on for far too long. Better the LTTE come for talks compromise and discuss a political solution. |

MR has to go through the same 'war for peace' that may result is pieces. Those who fight and die are not MR's children or Sadeath Monsterka's but poor youths from South and Northeast.
Agree. THats why MR should get the correct decision. Everybody is a human, a life, a loved one for some others, a father, a brother. These relatives feel it more than other stupid politicians and stupid ltte leaders.
If MR goes towards the war, the country has to sacrifice a lot, a LOT, In middle, it cannot stop the journey and cannot select any other way, because those who suffered from the war are coming behind MR as ghosts asking to pay their compensation to the country.
If he is not confidence, he should go for talks which he should have to take before. Even today is not too late. |

The GOSL lost nearly 250 men within a week. Most of them are poor young village boys, most probably the sole bread winners of their family.
By now, the GOSL should realize that, weather you call it defensive-offensive or whatever, war is not the solution as it did not help in the last 25 years and is not going to change anything in the future either. |

Who runs the country?
VP can bring about a solution through war on his own.
But only MR can help bring about a solution through peace, without the cooperation of the GoSL what can the LTTE do by talking about peace? |
