Lula,
If you ask any Tamil who does not know Sinhala to pronounce the word Devanampiya Tissa, he will say Theva Nambiya Theesan.
..
Fortunately, the word also has a meaning in Tamil.

:-) :-) Lula is into (unsuccessful) damage control mode.

So, finally Lula admits his 'Thevanambiya Theesan' is not from history sources, but merely a creation of Lula's. :-) This 'Theva Nambiya Theesan' is merely LULA's PRONUNCIATION GUIDE for Tamil readers! :-)

Why on Earth you would write this TAMIL PRONUNCIATION GUIDE to Mucha? :-) Why on earth you tell Mucha that your own Tamil PRONUNCIATION GUIDE has a 'real Tamil meaning'? :-)

If you are to write 'Trevor Nathan', do you have a habbit of adding within brackets,
Trevor Nathan (Thirunathan, which has a real Tamil meaning)
or
Devanampiya Asoka( Theva Nambiya Asokan, which has a real Tamil meaning)
?

What happened to your PRONUNCIATION GUIDES for 'RALH Gunawardena(?)' and 'Hue Cleghorn(?)' ? :-) Who else's names did you add this PRONUNCIATION GUIDE to?

Mister, at least try to make a consistant lie :-)

This is how LULA contradicts his latest 'TAMIL PRONUNCIATION GUIDE' theory.

On 19 Oct 2006 17:57:52 GMT on this very thread (p7), LULA wrote,
It is believed that, before the 3rd CBC, that is before emperor Ashoka sent his Buddhist missionaries and converted the King Devanampiya Tissa (Theva Nambiya Theesan)

LULA, Where is the 'TAMIL PRONUNCIATION GUIDE' for 'emperor Ashoka'? Shouldn't it have been
..emperor Ashoka (Asokan, clearly has a Tamil meaning)
:-) How come you only include the 'TAMIL PRONUNCIATION GUIDE' only for King Tissa, and leave out King Ashoka? :-)

On 2 Nov 2006 19:39:55 GMT, LULA said, King Devanampia Tissa is * ALSO KNOWN AS * 'Theva Nambiya Theesan' :-)
If you read my posts clearly, I never said that Devanampiya Tissa aka Theva Nambiya Thesan was a Tamil.

Now, LULA says, this 'ALSO KNOWN AS' name is nothing but LULA's own 'TAMIL PRONUNCIATION GUIDE' :-) :-)

This is quite alright, LULA. :-) The readers are quite familiar with this Vellalar Yoga laugh.

Regular readers are very well aware that when LULA is outright beaten in an argument, LULA's Yoga Laugh comes out. That is better than lamenting like Shakti or Ariyalai_SB. ;-) Please practise your Yoga Laugh until you forget your sound defeat. :-)

But keep this in mind, think twice before cooking up lies like 'Theva Nambiya Theesan' or 'Theva Nambiya Askokan' again.

Unlike you, the readers of this forum are not the descendants of 'Konde bendapu Javanese' ;-)

Oh LULA,

Since when King Devanampiya Thissa ALSO became to KNOW AS Theva Nambiya Theesan.

BTW, LULA as said, it would definetely have been good if NALEEN happened to be around. But my friend, there is a difference between he and you. He is smart.

As soon as he saw how his gross lie about Sinhala Brahmi was revealed, he started encounting *technical problems*. Unfortunately, you never realised how handy to have such a technical problem, even after WITNESSing what happened to your T. N. Theesan in front of you eyes.

Lula,

After you are done with Yoga Laughing, try to find a better excuse for your naive claim that 'Devanampiya Tissa' was ALSO KNOWN AS 'Theva Nambiya Theesan'.

Was 'King Devanampiya Ashoka' ALSO KNOWN AS 'Theva Nambiya Asokan'? . :-)

PS:
If you do not have any such evidence, please continue Yoga Laughing.
