The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) and United National Party (UNP) today decided to enter into a landmark agreement on a common programme to address key national issues.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa also invited the UNP to join the Cabinet of Ministers to carry out the agreed programme of work effectively, the President`s Office said. It said representatives of the two parties met at the President`s Office earlier today ?to pursue a national consensus? and decided to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) based on six key issues. ?Signing of the MoU is to be expedited,? the Office said.

SLFP once again begging the UNP to pull the country out of the mess it created. Every person with his head -removed-ed on right knows that Ranil is the only hope Sri Lanka has. His record speaks for itself, he doesn't need to say anything. Sri Lanka was the shining light in South Asia during his term. Booming economy, international defense cooperation pacts, peace, cornering the tigers into a hole, no road blocks, foreign investment, billions in international reconstruction aid money, ...all in just the short time in office.

Why would a traitor enter into such a plan to greatly strengthen SL military and security or our country? |
