Sanasare,
We always see a glimmer of hope of living together in Sri Lanka whenever we read posts from people like you. Let me give you what I know from sources in Muthur/Trincomalee:

Case 1:
Area: Muttur
17 Tamil boys decieded to go into the area, as the war is looming.
They all trapped in one house.
LTTE never try to rescue them, of force them to flee.
They all had same t-shirts.
The war was at the peak.
SLA found these boys, in the middle of heavy fighting.

These 17 Tamil boys, one of them a Muslim are mainly from the city of Trincomalee.
They have all been working for ACF for many months on Tsunami rebuilding projects before the clashes started in Muthur.
They were there when SL security forces control the area and they stayed in the ACF compound where they were shot. They stayed there even when LTTE took over the area.
They did not leave the area when the Muslims and Tamils left the town.
When LTTE withdrew subsequently they were advised by LTTE, that they were withdrawing they too should leave for safety reasons.
They had responded saying that they do not feel insecure as they are from an NGO and their head office would make arrangements for them to be evacuated.
They spoke to their relatives in Tricomalee on phone and advise them that LTTE has left the area and they are staying back in Muthur until their head quarters advise them.
When the security forces entered the area they found these 17 Tamils and showed their anger and frustration on them and shot them at close range.
They did not find them in the middle of heavy fighting.

You can decide for yourself whether this is plausible or not.

How ru? They will always have a different story..We cannot convince anyone in a forum. We can only pray for the dead and ask god to punish the real culprits.

Kula, how are you bro?,

They had responded saying that they do not feel insecure as they are from an NGO and their head office would make arrangements for them to be evacuated.

Sorry, I dint know those information. But, I hope you got what I want to say...

Taking the responsibility is a very dangerous game in all developing countries.

Once, I had a friend, who is a big shot of the GOSL. I suggested to him, to publish daily in the news paper, what government is planned, and how much fulfilled, and so on. Then, people can assess the government better.
Never happend, and those things are not practical, when another party is waiting to kill the government.

And for this 17 boys, I am sure we will never get the answer. They will become just,
'casualties of the war'.

I know, we cant get-rid by telling like that, but that's the world.
In the war time, you have to look for your own safety too.

Only we can expect is not to see a 2nd event like this.

Hi Berty,
Thanks and I am fine.

The last Presidential election has polarized the Sri Lankan society into two camps: One for WAR and the other for peace.

We have to wait and see which side is going to take an upperhand.

MR, who by nature is a good guy has knowingly fallen into the WAR camp just for his political gains. Now he is unble to get out of it.

Berty bro, Swathi sis,
Drop the case and say hello to L_talk,...when you can.

L_talk, happy you see better now.

I think we nave 3 main ethics, not only in this forum,

1. Dont insult religions
2. Dont insult ethnic groups
3. Dont insult forum individuals with ugly words

We can see all kind of words in the forum. But, its better to maintain some respect to others.

Best luck to you bro.

____________

Hi Robins, how are you bro?
