Mahindamama....wake up and try to see reality!. The 80 million Tamils in South India are not concerned about you guys in Jaffna who are actually not 100' pure Tamils. They would be worried if there would be some problems for the
Up-Country Tamils who have a direct and a more valid claim to connections with the South Indians.
I have replied to the 'great' Madam Gaja in one of the postings as to difficulties and the cause for all these problems because you guys are talking about a Tamil diaspora. Forget about Tamil Nadu because that is part of another Country and the people are Indians. You do not fit in there unless you wish to go there as a refugee(which of course is nothing new for you guys!). So stop all these talk of 80 Million Tamils and think you are having a problem in Sri Lanka for the Sri Lankan Tamils. Don't live in India and have your feet in Sri Lanka. It's either one of the two.
Your crave for India, jolly well get into a flight or boat
and get going. If you wish to stay in Sri Lanka, think as a Sri lankan. It is simple as that. Many guys from the Sinhalese and Muslims have got fed up of this 'fear psychosis'you guys are trying to create. No matter what all die only once. This means the Tamils will also die and don't forget that my friend. Think wise and change your mentality....

Seventy eight Sinhala and Muslim undergraduates, studying at the Vavuniya Campus of Jaffna University, were chased out by the LTTE and are now seeking placements in Southern universities, university sources said.
They had informed the University Grants Commission that they were ordered to leave their courses of studies by the LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam).
Two months ago, 35 Muslim and Sinhala Medical undergraduates of the Jaffna University were forced by LTTE activists to leave the university.
The UGC assisted them to continue their studies at Peradeniya, Sri Jayewardenepura and Ragama Medical Faculty of Kelaniya University.
What must the southern universities do ?

unq: so the lankan Tamils do have a unique identity and they are the native people of Ceylon and have no direct connections with tamilnadu unlike the upcountry Tamils.thats enough for me morafines.
you need to educate our southern brothers and sisters about it and i will call for your help time to time when needed.if thats ok with you.

Srimal111... dear.. after all these atrocities committed by the LTTE to wards the Sinhalese and Muslims, most of the
guys who are gone astray(in Mind!!) wish to believe that the Tamils have been wronged all along!. What do these guys have to say about your accusations!. Perhaps they are dumb as ever. You know something Srimal...there are many guys specially among the guys who are in the North who are exceptionally SELFISH, just like their ancestors the Keralites from Kerala. The Up-Country Tamils, I know, are of a different mold and they are a docile and innocent lot.
It is high time these guys change their mentality and think that Sri Lanka is for all. It is simply not possible to alk of a Tamil Homeland in Sri Lanka when Tamils are 'happily' and relaxingly living in the other parts of the Country. There is a TAMIL HOMELAND IN INDIA WHICH IS ANOTHER COUNTRY. Sri Lankan born Tamils DO NOT FIT THERE.

It is people like you who have bought digrase to the respected tamil community in sri lanka. All you can think is shoot and kill ? that that the attitude you have in jaffana, you tell me cos your just said it.
Its no secret that Jaffna tamils have their identity as tamils in sri lanka just as equal to the sinhalese from southern
Where do you origin ? From India ? Or from an ASS ?

I have no love for MR or any other politician...all of them are bunch of crooks enjoying our tax money.
Forget about respect...he's the guy in control and he's the only one who looks like out of the typical mould of sri lankan leaders... If he's hardline towards LTTE and not tamils..i'm in full support. :)
Kick out norway and finish off this terrorism for good.
Norway should've never been the 'mediator' cos with there history with tigers how can you expect them to be impartial.. |

My views here are...there's a difference between tamils and LTTE... LTTE should be wiped off the face of the earth if they don't want to come to a reasonable solution...
Tamils should be treated equal...
In my opinion tamils don't have such a big problem in the south...look at colombo, all the big business men, traders, professional are also tamil....where's the dicrimination there
It would've been there sometime back but not anymore...
If not for LTTE...lotsa tamils will be at peace without us sinhalese being suspicous about them...
Sad reality is that there are tamils who support and breast feed LTTE...can they blame army or anybody else treating all tamils a bit different...
However i must admit and it's a known fact that there are sinhalese racists who hates every tamil...just like there are tamil who hates us sinhalese...
Civilized societies should not allow nor promote racists to exist. |

Tigress19...Glad I was the cause for you to 'realize' that YOUR LOT from the North too are Natives of this land !. If any Sinhala Members of this Forum, think otherwise, let them reply you. But, except for the Sinhala Extremists and Chauvinists, the majority Sinhalese are a People 'accommodating' and willing to live in peace. Similar to the Tamils being Unique in their Identity so are the Sinhalese and Muslims. There is nothing new or strange about this as All have their distinctive identity.
The whole problem of others thinking the Jaffna guys as 'outsiders' is because of the question of Eelam. If you guys are a part of Sri Lanka then the question of Eelam does not arise. Similarly there wouldn't be an issue to fight and all these nonsense. Minorities should be a force to reckon with, but not a challenge to the Majority.In a nutshell this summarizes the issue at stake in Sri Lanka. |

I got the feeling that LTTE is planning to liquidate Solheim using paid hands in order to blame JHU/JVP/GOSL.
Many media teams are on the ready to make the whole West hysteric as in 1983.
