Surviving tamil politicians these days are mostly silenced by LTTE guns...
You're either with LTTE or against... There's no middle ground for LTTE and that's why there so successful as a killing machine..
Imagine if LTTE had to 'tolerate' what GoSl is tolerating now... I don't think there are that many tamil politicians who can disagree with LTTE openly and live...at least live openly...

The United States , has at last well understood the real value of peace in Sri Lanka and we appreciate the way that they have
Finally, approved what the LTTE had demanded reasonably in the past some sort of devolution for the northeast and northwest where all the peopel can live under a genuine tamil administration without those corruption that we can see in the south.

The United states should impose this devolution power of administration through UN or by force on this adamant sri Lankan sinhalese leaders. The Sri Lankan government or any stupid sinhalese backward leaders will now understand their past and present or future(if any) mistake that they can't play hell with the peaceloving people.

Well, if the speaker's passage is blocked it can be unblocked by a good old soap and water enema.

The tamil parties are capable of disrupting the state parliament and this shows how fearless the tamils have become in the last three decades.

We have to thank the LTTE for this.

Karthika, I am not disputing that rowdys can live longer or what ever, but what I do say is that I have not seen 75 or 80 year old people as rowdys commonly seen on the streets in colombo resorting to acts of violence and mayhem like seen during the time of signing the peace accord in 1987 the JVP uprising in 1989 etc etc. May be you have seen 100 year old people resorting to rowdysm while walking bent in two with a walking stick!!

Waruna, your posting has a very interesting fact. You mention about 'Sinhala areas' that means there are other 'areas' as well in the country which are not 'Sinhala areas'. You also question as to what will happen to these LTTE goons if they protest in Wanni. This suggests that if the LTTE goons protest in the 'Sinhala area' the consequences are different to that if protested in the Wanni. Therefore what can be gathered from your posting is that the Wanni is not in the 'Sinhala area' if so are you suggesting that the Wanni is in one of the other 'areas' which is not a 'Sinhala area' . Could you clarify?

TamilCanuck...how are you doing bud :)
Are you trying to say that tamil politicians and LTTE 'agree' on the national question.
I'm sure there are politiciams who totally agree with them but neither of them are offering a viable solution...
This bloody tug-of-war between politicians and terrorists with go on forever if both sides don't compromise and reach a solution for the sake of the common people...
Guys like you and i...we don't want war.
Seperate state will not work in the long run...that's my opinion... :) So what's the solution bud...we can go on forever...
Norway is helping LTTE re-load their guns...expats are either forced to pay or pay willingly to ltte to support their war...
Government is taxing everybody to fund a war that seems never ending...
People are suffering because of their own so called leaders misleading them...
i'd say government is rooten to the core and so is LTTE...
Somebody here was saying that LTTE administration is not corrupt...I hope he can say the same thing when the day comes that LTTE won't be 'administering' without the power of their guns...

Ariylai_SB or somebody here had a very sad story to tell...broke many hearts... How army had massacred innocent tamil civilians dragged out from the busses they were travelling in...
It's dispecable to here stories like this especially when you know these hard facts. Racists murderers...i have no words to use against these type of animals...
They you should be ashamed to call themselves sri lankan army... I'm Sri Lankan...sinhalese...I take pride on my country... Don't have choice really...this is where i was born..and will probably die in :)
But there are two sides of the story...as always
LTTE also has done the same thing
so what are we gonna do...both sides have fu**** up royally...
In the meantime innocent people are getting killed from both sides.
Is this war worth fighting...

Out of curiosity... don't you think all races are living peacefully with each other except for the north-east...
There are little incidents here and there but that you get almost anywhere in the world.
