Soma... Say if you have the opportunity to be in MR's seat and VP's seat at the same time.....what would you do?
I know that tamil people have a problem...who doesn't? Everyone knows that...but the billion dollar quastion is....what's the solution.... Do you think eelam will do it?
Do you think LTTE can run a state?
I don't agree with you completely on accepting the facts on the context ... If everybody accpeted facts when somebody else is terrorising an enitire country...if somebody is ruling by the power of the gun.... I can't accpet that.
That's not accpeted anywhere in the world... This is why i'm against LTTE
If they really wanted a solution i don't think this is the way to it. You and i both know GoSL can't and won't give another state... It just won't happen.

what tamils want is peace. infact thats what the majority wants. what the GOSL should do is come up with some concrete proposals. (no devolution, councils yesteryr nonsense) after talking with their counterparts.

infcat this has been the issue all along. no general concensus towards an agreement and the tamils have been paying the price. and lets do it in a timely manner within months. Tamils dont have time (TDHT) to hang around and see when you guys can agree on something. |

killing is killing...i'm not defending our bunch of idiots who have messed up big time.
They have messed up in history...they are messing up now.
Like i've said earlier on my post...my wife is tamil...i know first hand what tamils go through everytime they get a security check. This is enough to piss me off but i have 'accpet the facts' like you said...it's partly or wholely due to LTTE. This is nothing compared to hardships that north east tamils are going through
I'm not a barbarian without heart not to feel...
What i am simply saying is...GOsl and the army doesn't need the war and the violence for their survival...but ltte does. It's sole existence is the anger of the tamils against the sinhalese. So why are you never saying anything about the LTTE.
If an army guy or whoever does anything to innocent tamils...they should be punsihed to the max...not by shooting other army guys...but by proper legal means.
Just like the do it if the army as done to a sinhalese.
98% is not all hardliners my friend...we all want peace. But there's no place for terrorism...whoever that's causing it will perish. What's sad is that lot of innocent people get killed just because 2 side are trying to prove a point.

Didn't i say that they have messed up my friend. If you look at the south sri lanka...lot of crimes have gone un-punished and all of them are not against tamils now are they.
I'm not saying that it's right...the whole system was corrupt and it is now too.
I don't want to start pointing fingers but ltte has killed too...inculding tamils...
But does that mean we shouldn't move on...what's the point in saying ah this happened then etc etc. and not getting to a solution.
What's the starting point...
There has to end my friend...you can say it's my crocodile tears...i'm not here to score or win any anguments. Not here to prove a point that's positive to a certain party...all i'm saying is that as people we all suffer the same when war breaks don't we.
War doesn't recognize sinhala-tamil...bullets will kill and so will hatred...
All you guys who are in support of LTTE doesn't have a solid solution apart from the 'eelam'.... And like i've said earlier LTTE lives from the hatred of tamil people towards the sinhalese...we deserves it cos we have messed up... But what's gonna happen to LTTE if there's peace?
LTTE stands for violence and nothing else...our governments also have messed up otherwise LTTE would've been long dead...this not militarily but by giving tamils equal rights so that the need for ltte doesn't exist |

Quick answers since i think i owe it to you.
First of all...i work in colombo...in sri lanka and i see it everyday...read my posts...there's only a few...i have never denied that harassments doesn't exist. How can i deny when it's happening on your face...
I was schooling when the riots happened but i can't remeber much since i was small...but i do know that we also kep a tamil family in our house and they are still our good friends
No i wouldn't have fallen in love with an LTTer and had i known that she was...i would've walked away. Why you ask...I'm peace loving person...i don't want anybody with such a background as my wife. Will i marry army girl...still no. For the same reasons.
These are honest and straight answers my friend...now you on the other hand said that you support the tamil 'struggle'
I'm also fully in support of gaining equal rights...but do you agree with LTTE's methods...give a straght answer on that...
I hate those morons of our race that tortured and killed innocent tamils during riots as much as i hate LTTE... Even army or whoever doing it now is also in the same lot.
But what i can't understand is your blind eye to the tigers... Everyone's entitled to their opinion so i rest my case.
