Website appeals to save Devananda
Monday, 26 September 2005 - 3:19 AM SL Time

A website has been launched to save EPDP leader Douglas Devananda, described as the last elected Tamil leader, threatened by the LTTE.

The website says it hopes to put pressure on the LTTE to halt its eleventh attempt on the life of Devananda. The site says `having silenced Lakshman Kadirgamar one of LTTE`s leading opponents next is line is Douglas Devananda who is also a minister. `

The petitioners say It is also necessary to highlight his plight because the LTTE has never admitted to any of the killings. It always draws a smoke screen denying responsibility and blaming it on others. The organizers of this petition want to put on notice that if something happens to Douglas Devananda it would be only from the action of the LTTE..

Devananda, who heads the Eelam People`s Democratic Party, V. Anandasangaree, head of the Tamil United Liberation Front and Col Karuna, are the three remaining Tamil leaders who are on the hit list of the Tamil Tigers. Of these Anandasangaree is abroad and Col. Karuna is in hiding.

The website is ww.savedouglasdevananda.org

This website must be funded by JVP , they(JVP) probably going to finish him off and put the blame on LTTE just before the election.
same way they did to kadiragama , they used him to ban LTTE in all countries and then killed him to get the support of pther countries.
it looks like mahinda & co going to finish Devananda and i think we should urge LTTE to protect devananda.

No matter what LTTE say, we don't believe that.

All the other attempts to discredit the LTTE & the TRO, have borne no fruit.

Another futile attempt in the making by the bankrupt.

Devananda, a coward, hiding under the saree pot-ha.

Pera, if Devananda has any self respect he would have done that long ago. But the problem is even by any chance he decides to do that still the blame will be on the LTTE. Hope he leaves behind at least a letter to that effect, to save all the unnecessary hassle. But I doubt very much. These souls take so much of risk for power and perks and thus death is not an option at all.

Oh nice to read the short novels by Mr.Ajan. Man you are great writer. Even better than Robert Ludlem. Keep going buddy, making people laugh is not so easy, but here you do it well and show your knowledge.
And who really killed Rajiv Gandhi? I really don't know buddy. Can you please tell us. For sure it's not LTTE, am I right?
