I am very much disapointed that nobody in this forum really think about the teenagers and their urge for sex. I think most of the members have passed their teen age and now in 30s or more. I am also in my late 30s but I still have not forgotten the problems I had as a teen. I wanted to have sex with someone but I knew that it was prohibited. My problem was why?

I think the teenagers' view on this matter is important.

Amara:

I just cant believe some of the things your saying here.

Yes we all have the urge to have sex. When i was a teen i also had those urges. However, just because we have urges we cant act on those. ONLY ANIMALS go and act on urges alone. Thats what seperates us from the animals.

Yes we get those urges from as young as 11, 12 or 13. However, people are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too young and irresponsible to act on those urges. WHen i was 13 i would have been thrilled to have sex, but today when i look back - i know i was wayy too immeture and irresponsible to have had sex at that age. Im GLAD I DID NOT GET THE OPPORTUNITY TO have sex at that young age. Who knowns what i would have done at that age. If i was allowed to do things like that at that age - i would have got someone pregnant or got some STD or who knowns what...WHen i was 13 i wanted to have sex, but i did not know anything about safe sex or the MANY STDs around or the consequences of getting someone pregnant....

Not just sex. When i was a teenager i never got along with my father because he did not let me do alot of things i wanted to. We are all rebels at those ages. I was angry and sometimes hated my parents. HOwever, now that im a parent with my own kid, i would NEVER let my kids do MANY of the things i wanted to do when i was a teenager. Thats what maturity is.

The bootom line is - when you are 13 or 14 or 15.... we think we know everty thing and can do anything we want to. Thats how i thought when i was that age. However, now that im 33, i know i did not know everything when i was 13...

Get REAL - you are talking alot of nonsence!!

Amara

i understand what you are saying right,,,,,,,,,,,

teenagers too want to try what is having sex like right?

the problem is that teenager will fall into a pedo if she/he try to get bit more harder.by lowering the age to 13 means a 50 year old can have sex with a 13 year old girl legally and get away from the justice system.

if the 13 year old is willing to have sex then she should try it with the 13 year old boys or some boys no older than 16 years.(upto 16 year old boys and girls are considered as a child)

IF THE 13 YEAR OLD WANT TO HAVE SEX ONLY.

Dear Anizam,

I am glad you posted a good reply to my comment. These are the things that we have to discuss. I hope others also will join.

But I have disagreement with your definition of 'matuarity'. You think matuarity is going back to what the earlier generation thought was correct. I think we have to look for the requirements of the future generations. Otherwise we will be at the same position and there can be no progress.

No human behavior affects the transmission of genes more obviously than sex. The males are the wooers. The female is less eager than the male. This imbalance of interest creates competition among males. Men can reproduce hundreds of time a year women only other hand only once a year. This is our natural problem. We all are puppets. We have to think about our liberation in a user-friendlier manner.
