Ravi promises much if Ranil elected

The malefic effect on Sri Lanka will end no sooner the UNP leader in elected the next President of Sri Lanka at the election to be conducted on November 17, said UNP Parliamentarian Ravi Karunanayake.
He said the priorities of the Ranil Wickremesinghe presidency would be to end to unemployment in the country and provide every citizen with an affordable cost of living. `The national economy will bounce back once more, prosperity will return to the country, the peace process will fall into place, promises will be backed with firm commitment and every citizen will be proud to be a Sri Lankan. No more will communities use different labels according to their creed, casts or ethnicity. They will all be Sri Lankans, he said adding that Infrastructure will be improved and would be operative,` he said.
Roads, power and human habitats will be further developed. Sri Lanka will be integrated into the international market and will be assured of its share of the world marked he said adding that proper work ethics and efficient administrative reform will be introduced, while crime an indiscipline will be ruthlessly battled and law and order will once more prevail in Sri Lanka.
Asked about a possible Mahinda Rajapakse victory, Karunayake said only negative results would result and was not even interested in talking about such a situation. He added `our people are wise enough to realize that they have suffered for the past 11 years aid would never act in such a manner as to suffer for even one minute more`.
