| Magha, I did not say privileges! I said 'protection' both physical and constitutional. In fact I recall the cast system in the north and how the low cast people have been exploited by the high cast. As a little boy it used to hurt me and in my tender mind I felt it was a terrible crime against fellow human beings. In very small ways I initiated some corrective measures at home with the people who came to work. Many did not realise that it was wrong at all and I have never spoken to lower cast people as to how they felt about it. But later, there was agitation and they were even resorting to violence. But history has changed altogether in the Tamil psyche now and no one thinks of caste, thanks to the Sinhalese. Now I suppose any one talking of cast discrimination in the north will have to face serious consequences. The high cast Tamils failed to protect the low cast Tamils then and now the history has changed. At that time they took it for granted. Minorities always need protection for the betterment of the majority. |

Maga, you ask how Tamils living in South. This is good question. Arabs living in Israel is not a justification of the Israeli terror. Do you know how many million rupees taken by southern Sinhalese police men in as ransom from Tamils every month. This is in billion during the war.
During the war one of my friend was arrested by Wellawatta police for ransom. When he was in the police station a relative of a police men came there to barrow some money. The constable ask him to wait up to the OIC who have arrested my friend go out.
After the OIC left, the constable went out to catch some Tamils to obtain ransom.
Once a lady teacher who's husband is an Army officer went to school with neck full of jewels. Two of those jewels are THALIs ? the wedding nickles of Tamils)
Tamils living in south can tell thousand sad stories. Most of their homes are still occupied by SLA in the name of HSZ.
Maga Werther we are Tamils or Sinhalese we shoud have human heart

| Poet, I put it very subtly but you have done it more directly. Unfortunately vast majority of the sinhalese do not know this or else they will say it is a Tamil racialist propaganda against the majority. Many of course will say that they jolly well deserve it. Some say Oh... this happens to sinhalese too.In fact the police in particular loves emergency where they could make millions by black mail. It is very sad that people say there are tamils happily living among the sinhalese in the south. As I said it is OK for the tamils with influence but the ordinary tamils are the victims. It is pouring water on duck's back, they will never accept it or believe it! |

Dear Lula,
Just a simple example.
Build the International Airport, Passport office, Kacheri
Identity card office and a large shopping complex along the border of Vavuniya. Also allow a sea port usage
Singhalese will know and witness where this so called Southern Tamil population will live thereafter.
Tamils living in colombo are much strengthened in their courage to face the adversity living amongst singhalese.
This is the truth. Not for the love of the oppressor.
Thanks to Mr.Prabhakaran.
Ofcourse the Colombo/Indian Tamils are an exception.

Has Chandrika, become a geisha girl ?.
A real geisha ( hooker ) or a madame of geisha's ( madame in a brothel ), I am confused
Influenced by Pathma Maharajah, her one time best mate, a really good madame.
The Japes dazzled & confused, their little bayonet's at full attention, never, never coming down again.
A new career in the making after the 17th Nov.2005.
Must look at the expansion of my dole funded brittle empire into Japan.
Is the Tamil son in law, thrilled about MIL's new billet. I am.

Nandalal,
I Quote you:
The day the Ltte is banned in all countries, Sri Lanka can have peace and all communities can live like brothers & sisters.....in a united & propsperous Sri Lanka
Unquote.
You mean the brotherly and sisterly treatment of Tamils and Muslims received in the pre-LTTE era? Do you mean the riots and pogroms and killings of the ? brothers and sisters? and ship them to Jaffna, Trincomalee and Batticaloa? Raping of ?sisters? are allowed ? Looting and burning of their houses and businesses will continue or stop?
If the LTTE is banned who will check on the Security Forces who arrest and torture the youths and rape the women from minority community? |

Poet and Nada,
I would like to ask both of you a hypothetical question. Let us go back to 1956 and consider that SWRD did not come to power. However in Sri Lanka majority were the Singhalese as today but minority Tamil were holding majority of the Government positions and the Tamils were having better Schools and Science education than Singhalese . What is your explanation for this discrepancy and what is your proposition to be fair to the Majority under a democratic system if you believe that there had been an injustice to the Singhalese majority over 200 years of British rule.
Thank you. |

Tamils earned their rightful position. Nothing was given on a platter to the Tamils.
Tamils were recognised on their achievements and accomplishments. |
