Muni,
Please write something that makes sense; if you are incapable, please just go back in your cage, as your contributions are just waste of time. |

AnuD,
It's true that the perception determines what we do. If you insist on what you think which depends om your perception, and therefore can be wrong, why cannot you compromise, say, on the ethnic issue? Tamils want to be equal to any other nationals. All their fighting and sacrifices are to enforce their equality. I, as a Tamil must be treated like you, a Sinhalese. There is nothing more to it. If you want me to elaborate, take a simple example, you communicate with the govt. in your language, fine. I also must be able to do the same in my language.
I don't know you remember that in 1962 a Tamil Govt. servant of many who were denied annual salary increments on the grounds that they didn't attain proficiency in Sinhales challenged the govt. in courts. The Govt. changed the constitution by removing the clauses that prevented it legislationg any law that was discriminatory on the grounds of language or religion. The Sinhalese counter parts enjoyed their lives without any impediment.
You now know we two are not equals because of our languages.
