Hey Anizam,
I think the maths of Muniraj is ok.
Because 15 % of 63 is (63*15/100=) 9.45. So 63-9.45=53.55. Still Mahinda is above 50%. |

Nice try :). Seriously im impressed by your attempt to hood wink people. Where on earth does it say that 15% drop was from the First 63%???????????? :) Its a Percentage POINT DROP. Every time they do this type of opinion polls they start from scratch. Thats why surverys are taken RANDOMLY!!!!!! U start from scratch and choose RANDOMLY. If you go back and poll the same people or use previous numbers, then its NOT a RANDOM sample!!!!! :) :)
I know this because, i work with a bunch of political animals here. They were very involved at local level at the last US presidential elections. They were constantly interpreting survery results. No one has ever intrepreted it the way you did... BUt good try never the less.
I just checked with a co-worker of mine who did this type of things for the Democractic Party campaign. He told me these are PERCENTAGE POINT drops/Incrases. (note - key word is Percentage POINTS).
However, i will be the very first to agree that all these surveys, especially in SL are very unreliable.

First off how do know it was ONLY rich business people????
The report, just mentions the business support Ranil. It does NOT say, they were the ONLY ones Surveyed - does it???? And If they did only of business people, then whats the point of a Survey????? And Besides, do you need a Survery to tell you that Businessman are supporting Ranil????
In the same vain, then i can say that, the first survery conducted was done solely of Hard core Sinhala Nationalist.
I like how all of you - take any survery that is favorable to you and make it look like the Gospel. However, when its unfavorable - you come up with various gimmicks like - ONLY rich businesses, or according to the last survery (like Amara said).... U people are very funny inddeed. :) :)
AnuD - so in your previous message you said that Christians have a lot of influence over the US government. I asked you if you live in the US???? Whats the answer?????
