| We Tamils do not care about these elections. We do not care about the outcome of the election as well. As we all know that the Sinhala community is lack in political maturity. Both Ranil and RajaPaksa will take advantage of the political immaturity of the Sinhala people for their own gain. As far as we Tamils concern, both Ranil and Rajapaksa are the prisoners of the Sinhala extremists. They both Ranil and Rajapaksa don't have the capability to come up with the solution to the ethnic conflict which meets the aspiration of the Tamil speaking peopleboth Tamils and Muslims in the North-East.Only solution to this conflict is break-up of the country.Sooner the Sinhala people realize this , better for everyone. We can be good neighbours as we were before 1833.Please notice that only in 1833 , British merged the Tamil administration with Sinhala state, against the will of the Tamil people. |

'You are fanning the worst of sentimental flames. We can fight on political ideologies, on economic principles, but when it comes to rousing people to a state of mass hysteria on issues like language, religion and race, there is no knowing where it will end. If Honourable Members had seen the spectacle I witnessed on Sunday at the Town Hall grounds, they would have been ashamed of themselves. They would have felt sorry for the future of this country... it is not enough for us merely to mouth phrases and say that the minority communities have nothing to fear from the majority community; that in the past we have got on well, and that we will get on in the same old way. That is not enough today... Today we have to do something positive to allay those fears that are increasing.. . if we do not take a positive stand, we will continue to give room for Sinhalese chauvinists to do what damage they can'.
-Dr. N. M. Perera, LSSP leader, in the Ceylon House of Representatives on 19th October 1955. The reference is to a meeting of the Tri Sinhala Peramuna. |

ELLAALAN:
You are HONEST becuase, since 1948 you people involved in the political process not in order to enhance the quality of life in Sri Lanka but only to complain and thereby ask for self-determination of for federalism. Your leaders every time when they had opportunity they aboused power for the welfare of tamils and their own bank accounts.
Right now, what Ranil says and what LTTE says match. Becuase, if LTTE praises Ranil, that will go against peace loving sri Lankans, So LTTE blaim Ranil too.
On the other hand, Ranil says if MR wins it is going to be unilateral declaration of EELam. That is another scare tactic for MR supporters to come back to Ranil's camp.
With respect to UDI, they use the word EELam every time and they have all the facilities running at the moment. Right now, they asking Ic to recognizs it but the lanuguage is soft and indirect.
In 1833, you were in Vanni. then British changed the map to make nine districts. they wanted to devide loyalty of people to Kandian king.
Remember Jaffna was called YAPA PATUNA until you changed it to Yal Panam and English to jaffna. there are so many sinhala names in Jaffna that tamils changed to tamils. there are many Buddhist shrines, tamils destroyed or built churches.

Elections ?
Would anyone want to vote for a candidate who just tried to decimate the future female population of SL by trying lower the intimacyual conscent age of girls from 16 to 13 years & attempting to rob the childhood from the female children ?
OR
Was the GOSL once again attempting to lick the boot of the LTTE, proposing such legislation to save the LTTE Lecturer from Jaffna Campus who was exposed molesting his 13 year old tamil maid with repeated unlawful intimacyual activity ?
Dear Voters of all communities,
Come November 17, better put a bullet through the head of the entire cabinet on 17 November rather than vote for those who attempted to push through such legislations in order to save the future of our women folks.
Whether Tamil or otherwise the POOR does not seem to have a place or a right to exist Either with LTTE or GOSL ?
Disgusting & Disgraceful......Any values... Culture ??????? |
