I presume that you may be referring to the demolishing of 'Babri Masjid'(in which a centuries old mosque was illegally demolished by Hindu fanatics)
But isn't 'barber mashuthy' a long call from babri masjid?! :)
How ever, coming back to the point, the law is taking its course. The culprits (including the higher officials) are booked under law, a special court is appointed for the trial.
But more importantly, the state goverment who was responsible for law and order at the time of demolition was voted out in the next election and its officials are un-touchables in Indian politics today.
And muslims have not taken up arms either. The matter is being sorted out in a matured and civilized way.
2. Gujarth riots: It was a big shame. And the law and establishment are catching up with culprits slowly, but surely. An otherwise well performing federal goverment was thrown out just because this incident.
In democracy and rule of law, you have to be a little bit patient, hard working and disciplined. It is not as easy as manipulating ordinary people into brainless and senseless violance. |

Indians (both muslims and Hindus) are comfident that the issue will be solved to both parties satisfaction simply because Indian muslims were smart enough to rally behind secular left parties instead of being manipulated by one or two indivduals into forming a 'muslim liberation tigers' and start killing each other.
Please also note that Muslim and Hindu leaders are not frequently visiting other countries requesting for mediators or seeking help.
The matter is in court and all are confident and content that there will be a fair solution. |
