EU considering taking action against LTTE

The European Union is considering a move to outlaw Sri Lanka`s Tamil Tiger rebels, who are already banned in India, the US and Britain, a media report said here today. `An official committee of the EU meets in Brussels mid-week to consider whether the LTTE should be added to the list of terrorist organisations,` the Sunday Times said. Britain, as the current holder of the EU presidency, has already circulated a note among member states on Sri Lanka`s concerns about the LTTE, it added. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka has invited the United Nations to send an envoy here as part of a possible effort to seek a greater UN role in resolving the island`s festering ethnic conflict. The Sunday Times here said President Chandrika Kumaratunga made two urgent calls to Secretary General Kofi Annan seeking his support. Annan had on Friday sent top UN diplomat Lakhdar Brahimi on a four-day mission to the island nation for talks with Sri Lankan leaders. Although Colombo has in the past resisted any moves to involve the UN in the peace process fearing that it would lead to internationalisation of the conflict, it has finally turned to the world body for help, the newspaper said. The Norwegian-backed peace initiative in Sri Lanka remains deadlocked.

What action? LTTE should be awarded for their yeoman service to the humankind.
LTTE are the friends of people. They don't kill. They help people. They are working hand in hand with Sri Lanka Family Planning association. Because of LTTE, the population growth in Sri Lanka is one of the least in the developing world.
Chin and India, two most populated countries on earth are considering establishing LTTE outfits in their own countries too.

In UK, if 52 people were killed, next day peacful neighbourhoods will be war zone. Some one will be shot and killed just becuase of the suspicion of being a terrorist.
In sri Lanka, killing goes for 25 years and killed by thousands. Innocent scholers, free thinkers, intellectuals and civilins are being killed by the most brutal terrorist organisation in the world.
Still they are talking, no not yet, considering what to do.
IT IS BAD KARMA OF BEING A POOR DEVELOPING COUNTRY.
GOSL should plan to be a rich developed country overnight. |

But we do not have to be that emotional and type everything with big letters.
Calm down, think and take action. Some how we get them.
For almost 800 years we are fighting with them. This is not the last life that we are fighting them. |

Yes, LTTE should be given a special award for the role they have played for the benefit of the Tamil children. Action should be taken against organizations such as UNICEF for misleading other countries by providing false statics.
Severe action should be taken against Colombo newspapers. If anyone needs evidence, please refer to the comments posted by LTTE sympathizers here.(Please do not pay attention to LTTE admissions that they recruit child soldiers )
