After couple of weeks of holiday I happended to read your comments.I dont have that much time for a detail reply but let me write you a couple of words.

You may have a different feeling but There are so many Tamils and Muslims in Sri Lanka that they feel they are good Sri Lankans.I have a Tamil friend who has never gone abroad even a single day because he feels he really belong to Sri Lanka. He is a strong anti-LTTE and a Hindu.

when Tamils are feeling proud of Sri Lanka pro-LTTErs brand them as traitors.(A simple example is Mr.Lakshman Kadiragamar) so all the patriotic Tamils are keeping silence now. Mr.Kadiragamar was a patriotic sri lankan, but we know how tamils enjoyed his death.

What pro-LTTE expect is if you are a good tamil you should be anti Sri Lankan. Anyone with patriotic Sri Lankan feeling is not welcome to their society or they will be gunned downed.

It is not Sinhalese Buddhist who destroyed the self respect and patriotic feeling of Tamils,It is LTTE and pro-LTTE tamils, and Tamil politicians who never allowed ordinary Tamils to cultivate patriotic feelings.

can you tell me how tamils describe a Traitor and a Patriotic? What qualities they should have?

One thing I still remember

one day you said that most of LTTE supporters will not accept the defeat and instead they will resort to third grade tactics like mud sliging and insulting to others.

It is really happening now and they will not change the tactics, only thihg is you have to live with that.

my question is how can we keep this kind of people in our neighbourhood or treat them as our fellow countrymen?

Mucha,
What is your educated opinion on the following remarks made by Hon Opposition leader Mr Ranil Wickramasinghe on the 14th November, at Agalawatta?

a. King Parakramabahu has filled the marshy lands in Agalawatta with soil and thats why they call it pasdun korale.

b. King Parakramabahu started Cinnamon plantations at Agalawatta and made Raigama a regional capitol.

I like to hear an historical review about those statements made by Mr Wickramasinghe.

Cheers

DEAR ARIYALAI_SB:

As you said, I tapped my 'educated' brain and asked myself why ARIYALAI_SB's cousin born and bred in Singapore proudly claims herself as a Singaporean (Not as a Tamil). I also asked why Ariyalai_SB's tour guide who is a Malaysian Born Indian proudly identify himself as a Malaysian (Not necessarily a Tamil)

CAN YOU GUESS WHAT MY CHUVINISTS, RACISTS, STUPID ETC ETC BRAIN SAID?

Because there were no Sylvester James Velupillai Chelvanayakams to declare 3000 years old Histories or GG Ponnambalams to demand 50:50 for minorities either in Singapore or in Malaysia.

Mucha,
There was this Jaffna Tamil laywer Joshua Benjamin Jeyaretnam, trying to do some hanky panky with Singaporean government like Chelva did to SL government. Lee Kwan Yu put him in Sentosa island in exile forever!

Cheers

Dear PERA:

I READ DIVAINA.

-Muchalinda

PS: However, what Anura Dissanayake said is correct. Before reading this I have read (or heard) somewhere, how Pas Yodun Korale became Pasdun Korale.

PS2: I guess, this is a classic example of how JVP can overturn a whole campaign into a havoc (This is something you maintained throughout this forum- we should discuss this somewhere else). Agalawatta meeting should be the last meeting UNP speaks about Perakum Yugaya. But JVP will not forget to mention about Perakum Era hereafter in all the meetings they participate. A classic example of hijacking.

PS3: Do not make me guilty by asking my Educated opinions on History. The Internet is Amazing (Especially the Google). Isn't it?

FYI: There are some silly posters appearing in Colombo and suburbs. King parakramabahu punishing silly looking guy. Silly looking guy dressed as King Parakramabahu.
You will learn about those posters in few days time in newspapers.

Cheers

PS: I teach those guys. I know how 'CREATIVE' they are specially when a littile mischief is involved!
