Malaysia was thousands of miles away from Tamilnadu, so Tamils there had no choice but to accept the domination of Maley and Chinese. And other fact is Malay and Chinese are very ruthless people unlike sinhalese who always preach love to our enemy 'nahi verena verani'. It will take only matter of seconds for chinese to slaughter 100 of people. They are that ruthless, you saw what happended in Tiannam square. If you mess around with chinese, within seconds you are in the grave.
But in Sri Lanka we have a different story. we are 20 miles away from Tamilnadu, and each and every Tamil was thinking Sri Lanka should be like Tamilnadu. That gave them so much confidence to start the war. In reality we are fighting a war because Tamilnadu is our close neighbour. Can we change that?
In other countries like South Africa, Singapore, Canada Tamils have accepted the majority rule becasue they are an isolated community and dont feel like they are living close to a Tamil State.Tamils only need little bit of confidence, once they get that they go their own way, no justice, fairness, policy or principle.
So in Malaysia Tamils were satisfied by giving some political freedom by Mahathir mohomed, but in Sri Lanka whatever we give will not be enough for them untill we bocome a part of Tamilnadu and they bocome majority.
Even if we find a political solution we will be fighting as long as Tamilnadu is across the palk street. On one hand India is a blessing for Sri Lanka but on the other, it is a curse.
If you think Sri Lanka can be a peaceful country, it is only a dream because Tamilnadu is next to us. |

Dumindak,
In that case, we should thank Mr Thalaiwar for 'taking out' Rajiv and making Tamilnadu people enemies of Sri Lankan Tamils??

Mr.Pera
Exactly, We should be very thankful to him. And we should send some flowers to Anton Balasingam also for advising him.
I think JHU or JVP should initiate that. we can contribute some money

Mr.Pera
You know whenever I meet a Tamil from Tamilnadu he will ask me whether I am tamil or Sinhala. when I say I am sinhalese he immediatly reply ' You know I am not LTTE' as if he feel shameful of LTTE.
And Tamilnadu Tamils appreciate Sinhalese people much more than they appreciate Sri Lankan Tamils.
LTTE micalcuated many things like Rajiv Gandhi, and Kadiragamer assasinations, all these will carry them to the grave along with their supporters. |

DunimndaK,
I think it is in Praba's blood. He is VERY revangeful person and takes revange from the very people feeds him. LTTE and its supporters have to to Damage controll!
Rise and fall of LTTE is Praba. Praba created LTTE, made it in to a name synonimous with Sri Lankan Tamils and he will take it with him to his grave. It is matter of Time.

Avathar knowing that terrorism could be streangthened with foreing terrorists like Norway became a Christian so they are receiving all benefits.Norway is hellbent to destroy Buddhism and also Hinduism.Gradually Jaffna will become totally a Chistrian community and Hinduism will be a religion of the past.If Christianity can be the main religion in Norway, whats wrong in Sri Lanka having Buddhism as State Religion as they are in the majority. It is true that many Tamils whose population is about 12% do not wish to accept Sinhala and Buddhism as main Languge and religion. So they(few) have become terrorists and waging a war.
IF THEY DO NOT LIKE THAT,LEAVE SRI LANKA AND JOIN TAMIL NADU WHERE THEY CAMW FROM! |

Norway pot belly idiots how dare to put pressure on rights of another country and a government to take their decisions on how and what to do with terrorists. These Norway schizophreniacs have put one pro-LTTE Balasingham in their candidate list in up coming elections inspite of his history of fraud!!
Norway deserve something from Terrorists!!
Hindus will realize what is happening to their religion soon.
Now Catholic priests in SL have started voice for peace talks. I think now it is going to be more complicated and Norway and Church backed parties are trying to use this as a big opportunity to show this as a religious issue between Buddhist and Hindus because now they can not say ethnic issue. LTTE is killing many Tamils!!
All political parties and Sinhala Buddhists should be awaken and be aware what is going to happen.
Norway and Church want to give it another face ...a religious conflict??????? |

Please, please do not believe everything that you read; if the Sri Lankan government were to ask the Norwegians to leave, they will go away; it is as simple as that. So, what is stopping them from sending the Norwegians away?
By the way, the Tamils do accept that the Sinhalese are the majority, and Buddhism is the majority religion; the question is whether the Sinhalese accept secularism, diversity, and pluralism. If you try to exercise majority hegemony on the minorities, evidently, the result would be a catastrophe. I also feel that the Tamils and Sinhalese can live side by side; I dream for that day. |
