Love, English History is in deed not Rocket Science. Also, the simple logic I put forward there is not Rocket Science either. You did not understand what I said. I just wanted to emphasize that if you do not care about the archeological evidence when determining the ownership of a country, it is not impossible for you to decide that England was first inhabited by Tamils. If you cannot understand this logic, forget about that.

I do not want to argue here from where Vijaya came, though you are wrong. Girl, I neither devised the name KURUNDAMALAI nor I never imagined the existence of a Buddhist Temple in that area. And I have never been to there. What all I did is revealing certain expeditions carried out in that area by Historians and relating it to the accounts made in chronicles and other inscriptions. I do not know what sort of archeological background you have when confirming the non-existence of such temple in the area. However, I know as a fact that one of the persons who involved in that expedition was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from the University of London in 1965.

You could be correct. BTW, have you ever read a book called Kalpana Lokaya by him. I strongly recommond you to read it if you are lecturing at Peradeniya.

Yes. I have read all books of Prof Sarachchandra. Have you read recent book, Maname mathakwee by our Finance minister Amunugama. It gives a good discription about Prof Sarachchandra's life.

You are talking through your head; you know as well as I do that Sri Lanka is going through a period that is being engulfed with nationalistic forces. The Sinhala nationalism is the cause for the Tamil nationalism.
From your point of view, how would you define a Sri Lankan national? You are glorifying the Sinhala Buddhists, and want to own Sri Lanka; how do the others fit in?
In my view, people like you are the cause of LTTE; you created LTTE, but you are not dealing with it, instead, expecting the poor Sinhala villagers to sacrifice their lives for your narrow views.
As long as people like you around, I am very sorry to say that Sri Lanka will remain a poor third world country forever. If anything, more and more people will convert to Christianity in quest for prosperity.
Here is something for you to chew; all those Tamils you people drove out of Sri Lanka since 1983 have vast amount of money, and buying properties in Colombo and also setting businesses; sooner or later Sri Lanka will depend on Tamil economy! |
