LADIES FIRST

Dear TIGRESS 19:

Though you cannot understand, HISTORY IN DEED WORKS, BUT WILL NOT WORK IN FAVOUR OF YOU.

The whole problem here is inability of people like you to understand one of the first WARNINGS I gave in this forum. I repeat: If you want to justify your struggle, please find someother ways and leave the History alone. History is clearly not in favour of you.

Quote: we had a good lesson about history of lanka.usually tamils disagree with sinhalees who claim that lanka is a sinhala nation and vise versa ,however sinhalees continuously ask for archaeological evidence for Tamils present in lanka for some thousands of years ago.

My dear, Tamils (i.e. Eelamists) agreeing or disagreeing with Sinhala History is a different issue
FYI: At the Nuremburg trials, Rudolf Hess- the dputy to Fuhrer, DISAGREED with the charges proved against him
. But there is no point of even thinking about any sort of History without having any solid archelogical evidence or historical accounts. If you ever think archelogical findings has nothing to do with History, you are not far away from claiming the first Inhabitants of UK are Tamils.

So..gorgeous, get this crystal clear. This is not about two sides having thier own versions of stories. One side has a story based on and proved by Archelogical evidence and Historical findings where as the other side has story based on pure imagination.

So..love, if you ever want to challenge this, please challenge with valid and solid evidences. Not with facts like what other Sinhalas in this forum think about what I say. BTW, the other Sinhalas you spoke must be the people like WIJEYESINGHE and Kalu Sin Kala.

About KURUNDAMALAI:

See what you wrote: kurunthurmalai is in a deep forest,i have visited twice and i know it has a peak a natural peak not a man made one.or a pikku made one)it is in a ruined status now, because people do not visit there these days.)

So..girl, you agree to the fact that there is peak in Kurundamalai (as coined by Prof. Indrapalan) or Kurunthurmalai. You also believe it is a natural peak not the remainings of a man made Stupa. But dear, how come a natural peak can be found in a RUINED state. This is the first time I heard mountians becoming ruined. Do you want me to believe you. I may leave it for the readers to decide.

I spoke about Kurundamalai Vihara based on three findings, which perfectly indicates how concise Sinhala cronicles are. This was first mentioned in Chulavansa (verse 60). It says about certain renovations done by the King Vijayabahu I (Keerthi Vijayabahu) to two Buddhist Temples, second being the one at Kurundamalai near Mulativu. This account has again been proven by the finding of a slab inscription in the same area by a Sinhala king by the name Abhasala Mevan. Archelogical excavations were later carried out by the Archelogical Department with the help of Prof. Karthigesu Indrapalan.

KADUVAN:

I was first asked to speak about the History that occured after the 10th Century AD, by our friend SHAN. I accepted that, and gave all the evidence that took place after the time limit he imposed.

Now you are asking me to speak about the things happened during the last 22 years.

Mister, it did not work with SHAN. It is also very unlikely to work with you as well.

Secondly, as I advised previously, the problem in Sri Lanka cannot be understood by analysing who held the gun that killed Kadiragamar or who carried the box of matches that burnt down the Jaffna University Library. There is no other way than going deep into the history to understand the root cause. If it is not in favour of you, the best thing next to do is to ignore the History altogether than imposing time limits like you did.

So, unfortunately in this occasion, I have to politely refuse your request. Sorry, but I am not ready to accept your terms.

GOOD LUCK.

-Muchalinda

PS: BTW, if we go 22 years back into the history, it is August 1983, not July. So, you should have asked me to speak only about the things happened in the last 22 years and 2 months (with a safe margin).

it's confirmed that the so called HISTORY IS A MISERY and the Immigration of all races to this country is the Mystery.
So a Mysterious nation by the Mysterious people IS TO EVOLVE SOON.

And this will make history!!

SHAN: If you want to discuss the origins of Tamils in present Sri Lanka, you got to be consistent. I am emphasising this here again because you have clearly indicated your interest to discuss the topic in the same time showing your hesitation to go deep into the History.

So, this is something I cannot do. I cannot discuss the origins of Tamils without going into the History. I want you to clarify this inconsistency.

Thank you for taking care, I am interested (10%) and others also may be interested. (10%)

BUT IF YOU SEE MY POSTING YOU CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM MOST- REALLY INTERESTED TO HEAR FROM YOU (90 %)

( I WILL CLARYFY STEP BY STEP SO THAT THERE WONT BE ANY CONFUSION ANY MORE.)

Recorded Tamil Sinhala problems from B.C. onwards from your mahavansa. You say Tamils were invaders and been chased away. Again Tamils came again chased away.
YOU CAN GO BACK AND CHECK YOUR POSTINGS.

So who are I and other SL Tamils? Did we fell from sky suddenly and you all disappeared with your greatness leaving N&E for Tamils with out even simple trouble. Obviously there should have been big big troubles when SL Tamils came here and we would not been invited without a single trouble do you agree?

Where were the Sinhalese living in the N&E? like Thirunellveli, Nallur, Batticalo and so on Can you name the places In the N&E please.

How big the population was? How many was killed / chased away? Who was behind it?

Weren?t there any Tamils living at all in the N&E or any part of SL? Who were worshiping in Ketheshwaram and in Konshwaram? ( I am confident to tell you that I have inscriptions in my pocket date back to 6th century AD about these temples)

How many sinhala tamil riots took place? ( within 50 years we had 4)

How many of your temples have been destroyed in the N&E? Who destroyed it?

How many of your Govt Representatives have been killed and their names if possible or chased away by the invading Tamils? And when did that happened? What are your chronicles and inscriptions tell about it?
CONT
LIKELY TWO POSIBILITIES ONLY
1. If there wouldn?t be any troubles your temples and the sinhala population would be living at the time of Portuguese arrival and would have continued to be there until now.
Or

2. We should have big and abrupt ethnic movements in the history. And big battles and so on BECAUSE sinhala kings would have made attempts to recapture N&E.

Weren?t there any old Hindu temples in the N&E at all? There were plenty. SO who were praying in those temples was it Sinhala Hindus?

If we can able to talk about what happened in BC with absolute conviction, we should be able to talk about the recent one with absolute confidence and facts and figures and names. You know it is an on going trouble from the early date on wards (like Jew Muslim problem). So we should be able to talk about very well about these recent events.

Does Malaysia or Indonesia have a history for Tamils from BC on wards? Those countries were also invaded by Chola empire. Do those countries have any place significantly populated with Tamils as majority? Was there any Tamil kings ruling parts of these countries for generation after generation

From my knowledge When Indian kings capture Sinhalease kingdoms so called battles took place in the North Central Province and beyond that. Ok you might say your forces would have retreated what about the Sinhalease population living in the N&E.

If that was the case when with another invasion SL forces would have they engaged in thick battles in Jaffna, Kytes and Mannar? Because there should have been big number of people and forces should have involved.

I am convinced with the following summary which REFLECTS THE ETHNICITY OF SL and the source and you can visit the site I gave you and check whether I have changed any single letter.

?There is some debate among historians as to whether settlement by Indo-Aryan speakers preceded settlement by Dravidian-speaking Tamils, but there is no dispute over the fact that Sri Lanka, from its earliest recorded history, was a multiethnic society. Evidence suggests that during the early centuries of Sri Lankan history there was considerable harmony between the Sinhalese and Tamils?.

Source:

Informative general histories of Sri Lanka include K.M. de Silva's A History of Sri Lanka, E.F.C. Ludowyk's A Short History of Ceylon, Zeylanicus's Ceylon, S. Arasaratnam's Ceylon, and Chandra Richard de Silva's Sri Lanka: A History. Source books on medieval history are Wilhelm Geiger's translations of the Pali chronicles, the Mahavamsa and Culavamsa, and the comprehensive The Early History of Ceylon by G.C. Mendis. Highly informative for the study of modern political events and ethnic disturbances are S.J. Tambiah's Sri Lanka: Ethnic Fratricide, and the Dismantling of Democracy, A. Jeyaratnam Wilson's Politics in Sri Lanka, and Government and Politics in South Asia by Craig Baxter, Yogendra K. Malik, Charles H. Kennedy, and Robert C. Oberst

I thing it is sensible one and If you want to disprove it is up to you.

But about considerable HARMONY? I have my doubt and my belief is they were separated and started living side by side. Time and time again Sinhalease kings would have ruled N&E like Tamil kings ruled Apura. But your case may be the most because you are the majority and was easy to dominate.

How friendly were these kings when Portuguese arrived and how much support Kandy king supported Jaffna Tamils. Name and the number of the battalions he send to the Jaffna.

Meet again.

One more thing before I finish There were Tamil Buddhist monks in Tamil nadu during chola empire dear. I will come back to that later or can any one can take over from me.
It is good to learn as Fairplay says.

Shan,

As you said before, we are wasting our time here; as per these people, to be a true Sri Lankan, one needs to be the following:

1. Be a Sinhala
2. Be a Buddhist

As such, Sri Lanka belong to Sinhala Buddhists; Only the Sinhalese have the rich history in Sri Lanka. I am wondering, am I living in the 21st century? Why are these people still possess medieval mindset?

All the others are not Sri Lankans, but we are allowed to live there accepting their dominance.

Whether people like it or not, the Buddhism will be thrust down your throat; this is the reality. This is why these people are not interested in finding a negotiated solution; if they do, they need to compromise with the Tamils.

I can categorically say that these people are doing mammoth disservice to the future generations of the nations.

Dear Kural, Tig 19, Kadu and Ari

We have strong willpower. Because of the war we have lost many things but we gained few good things as well. I can assure Tamils will have a Just solution even if LTTE is defeated. You can see what is happening in the world. They can not play any more with this high information technology. We have dedicated men and material to defend ourselves. World is watching.

You know they were all out to erase the Tamils in 1983. Indira Ghandi called JR to stop it and was stopped. She asked whether SL wants military assistance. JR got the message clearly.

Then the then FM Hameed went see his counterpart in India and met Indira also. Indian foreign ministry has the original map of N&E and the population of the N&E at the time of independence. It was given to FM Hameed at that meeting and was warned not to disturb the composition.

India may be against LTTE but nothing will go below Indo Lanka accord to start with. We will see.

Thank you for your sence of humour(ladies first)

dear mucha linda
you said:
'the whole problem here is inability of people like you to understand one of the first warning i gave in this forum.i repeat: if you want to justify your strugle, please find some other ways and leave the history alone.history is clearly not in favour of you.'

1)it is not the inability of people like me to understand your the simple history.the problem is that YOU DO NOT UNDERSTANDING YOUR HISTORY IS TAILOR MADE TO SUITE THE SINGALEES.we tamils do not need your history at all and we have our own.thats where we will stand.you can chuck your history in to one of the museum and call your museum by your name,it will not UPSET me.
I WARN YOU,I DO NOT WANT YOUR TAILOR MADE HISTORY AT ALL AND DO NOT EXPLAIN TO ME.
hope you understand where i stand.

you said:
'you are not far away from claiming the first inhabitants of the UK are tamils.'
2)english history is not a rocket science mucha,im suprised why the english history will not get into your head.i can tell you why:it is not tailor made to suite only to the english.(roman empire to viking invades are mentioned in all parts and the english do accept that they created a language picking from here and there.)
hope you got it.i do not want you to explain to me to support your history with the english history

you said:
'one has a story based on and proved by archeological evidence.'
3)we too have lot of stories too.starts from ramayanam to shilapathikaram, sheevaka sinthamani, manimekalai.SO WE DO NOT NEED YOUR STORIES AND YOUR ARCHEOLOGICAL FINDINGS.WHAT WE NEED IS A SOLID PROOF THAT YOU DID NOT STEAL OUR HISTORY AND THE FINDINGS ARE NOT BELONG TO TAMILS.
HOPE YOU GOT IT.
one more thing,
i can suggest a strong solid evidence, that might support your view AND YOUR HISTORY.that your kallathoni vijan come from AFGHANISTAN.THATS WHERE THE BIGGEST OLDEST BHUDDA STATUTE WAS.if you study afghan history it will enlighten you bit more than your mahavasa.but please do not convert your self to taliban,im totally against converti

you said:
kurundamalai,
first of all it is not kurundamalai,it is called kurunthurmalai.(if you cant pronounce it here we go:ku run thur ma lai)(kurunthurmalai)ok.
do not even try about kurunthurmalai and fixing with your immagination.
i said: it is in the deep forest,it is ruined,it is a little mountain with a natural peak.

1)there is lot of temples in mullaitivu but few are in the jungles one of them is this kurunthurmalai and i lived not far from it.it is a murukan temple,my parents left from that area in 1985.
2)the temple is ruined and it was built by the king pandaravannian.the natural mountain is not ruined.
i thought you are quite wise, im afaraid you are not that wise to have a broad thinking.
so you can KEEP your tailor made PANTS with you.(sti**in*)

one think i would like to say to you,
DO NOT READ YOUR COLOUR FULL HISTORY MAGAZINES,THEY WILL ONLY MAKE YOU FEEL UGLY.
