CBK requests Norway`s PM to intervene
Friday, 19 August 2005 - 3:31 AM SL Time

President Chandrika Kumaratunga has requested Norway`s Prime Minister to summon an `urgent meeting` between the government and the LTTE, to review the Ceasefire Agreement and to end political killings.

The President`s office said yesterday that she wrote to Norwegian Premier Kjell Magne Bondevik requesting a meeting be held in the presence of the facilitator and the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission.

'The President has now written to Norway`s Prime Minister requesting an urgent meeting between the government of Sri Lanka and the LTTE to review the practical functioning of the CFA with a view to prevent further killings and other violations', it said.

However, on a prior occasion, before Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadirgamar`s assassination, the President had requested the SLMM to arrange a higher level meeting between the military authorities and the LTTE, the statement said.

The President also condemned the attack on the UN office in Kilinochchi by the LTTE, it said.

CBK has no reason to call any foreign leader to resolve this conflict with LTTE. All what she has to do is, ordering the military to launch a massive attack on these murderous bastards by the land, sea and the air. CBK should pay attention to what Mr. Subramaniam Swamy's (a prominent Tamil in India and leader of the Janatha Party) opinion. He has said that Sri Lanka and India should retaliate to LTTE with very same language they understand, which is nothing but terror.

The government of sri lanka has the bound duty to protect and provide to it's citizens under the Inernational conventions.

Until this moment all people living in Sri Lanka are citizens of our country and they use the S/L Passport for international travelling. This means many responsibilities of the government, I cannot go in detail.

A military government? as the JVP may support is 100% in the interest of JVP that has already set base within. JVP is in eager expectation of this day and it will never happen.

Sri lanka cannot isolate itself from the United Nations Organisation. It is a member and seeks active representation too.

CBK and Ranil are using their senses properly to keep us breathing.

We do not want to be led down the blind path of the JVP.

Fare play,

Yes, we can see LTTE is very well following its killing path only blind to their supporters in this forum.

I hope this time around CBK would act bit wisely.

All these days, she didn't go as she wanted rather rather she has gone through as he (late Kadirkamar) wanted.

Lets see! how is her other advisers are facing it?

Mr.pera,

It is not LTTE who is scared of JVP but it's JVP who is scared of LTTE. Keept it in your mind. JVP can fight UNP,SLFP and all the sinhalese parties but they can't move an inch towards LTTE militants.

If JVP takes over the government it will be only in south but not in Northeast.and you will understand now the real result of Sri Lanka if you vote for JVP to come to the power. I mean there will be certainly two nations but not one.The remaining JVP forces from Northeast will be chased away within 24 hours.

GENTS,

A small correction to a mistake made by SAINTCLAIR in his posting. The last sentence of his posting should be read as:

The remaining JVP forces from NORTH will be chased away within 24 hours.

He has mistakenly wrote it as from whole NORTH-EAST.

It is natural for ordinary human beings to make mistakes and I believe you all will tolerate this sort of small typos.

PS: Dear SAINTCLAIR: Now you have the option to edit any of your postings once they published. You still can correct the mistake you made.

Mr Saintclair,
I do not vote for JVP. Reason is that they have a violent past.
Unlike some LTTE supporters here in this forum, I do not appriciate Violence and I won't heroworship the killiers and murders, let alone vote for them. However it is clear that most of the LTTE supporters are attacking JVP. Thats why I asked that question. If LTTE is not scared of JVP, it is very good. As for me, we all must be scared of brutal killers (ie LTTE).

I have guts to denounce JVP for their past killings. Do you have guts to denounce LTTE for their past present and future murders?

Cheers
