It is despicable that killing continues when there is a cease fire. I would not even say a word about this officer's death if there was a war situation. Now that there is this cease fire (apparently) I dont see why LTTE should go about killing!
Most of you folks have forgotten but I have been constantly mentioning that IP Jeyarathnam is still missing. He was abducted months ago and his where abouts are unknown.
No one knows who did the killing of SSP or the abduction of IP Jeyarathnam. But the finger is naturally pointed at the LTTE. If the LTTE really expects to be a legal and accepted organisation, so that it could actually represent Tamil people they aspire to represent, such incidents wont get them very far at all! |

Noel!
Where in the hell have you been my friend! Did not see your two cents for a long time. Very pleased to see you here.
Was your absence due to work or was it some personal distress? |

Noel,
This is great news my friend. So how old is the first child? Is your wife OK? I mean she is going to give a normal birth? My prayers and thoughts Noel.
Well, we are still clinging on to a fragile CFA. Very little progress towards peace talks. I think LTTE does not trust CBK. Her alliance with JVP did not help. Now CBK is making a lot of concessions. It is too little too late. |

Accident? It was no accident. Why did they go with rifles for a haircut when they had this facility in their camp?
Remember 1958, 1977 and 1983. We got beaten and killed and never retaliated.
The Sinhala State, military and the racist mobs need to learn a lesson here.
You can't get away with cold blooded murder of innocent Tamil people.
How dare you kili our people in our own heartland?
Retribution will be swift and severe. |

All the pro-sinhalese media are portraying the killing of the barber as an accident! How can the gun discharge accidentally and kill one person and injure another one badly? But the killing of the SP has to be condemned whoever has done it. It is not going to take us anywhere.
Btw, good to see you back Mr.Noel William. We missed you mate! |

We should condemn both. We should respect freedom for living. Army should be more cautious when they go out for haircuts or whatever with loaded weapons.
Army behaviour there seems to be not different how tamils, sinhalese and muslims live rest of the country. They respected not suspected barber as a different human being. That must be the reason to went there for a hair cut.
Accident occured is not acceptable killing a civilian.
It was taken to the advantage of brutal, shamelss, butchers of LTTE. We can not expect rational behaviour from LTTE.
The SP without any arms or security going there and talking to people is again shows how he respected and trusted people around him. But what happened was a great loss to all peace loving people.
It is Iraq. LTTE kill tamils, harass tamils so those pro LTTE explanation is correct. |

We should condemn both murders.
Saloon Employee was murdered by the soldier. People heart more than one gun shot. Late Shantharooban received head injuries. Another person also received injuries.
This is not an accident. President already condemn the killing of the Saloon employee.
Soldier killing a Tamil cannot be justified as accident only because the killer is a Sinhalese. Tamils of the area naturally become angry. Police stated to attack the angry Tamil mob.
We have to condemn both acts of murders with out oscillation.
Both acts are serious violations of CFA. We should demand fair investigation of the killings. Government and LTTE should not allow such acts of cold blooded murders in future. |

It is not LTTE i have been warning this is the type of thing would happen, it will escalate very soon for sure.
people are frustrated 3 year ceasefire
1, army still occupy in their homes,
2,fisherman still not allowed to fish
3,all their fields full of mined planed by Sl army.
4 Army harrrasment continue, army raping 9 year old girls etc,
stop listen to what srilankan state media says.
understand the reality , i have been saying this for too long. where srilankan army is presnece trouble is there.
people are very very upset , they are taking mater in their hand. (for Example thet father of 9 year old daughter killed that army soldier in a bad way).
this are not reported in srilankan media.
even in barber shop gun didnt go off itself. the barber told him to wait as there are few people waiting to cut. this soldier harased him .so the barber refuesd to cut this army officer shot him.
therefore people are so angry. this seens will continue. |
