Security Forces : Wanni has nowhere to run ? Unfortunately, it has been the SL Armed Forces who have been doing the running todate. YOU MUST BE TIRED, SF ?
This P-TOMS is a farce.
There is only one Regional Committee. You know its composition ? 5-3-2. Who is the convenor ? A Wannian.
Who are the GOSL representatives ? They can be anybody.
The Special main Committee comprise of (03)
Wanni / Muslim & GOSL - Nobody knows who is the GOSL ?
(02) Donor Reps.
Regional Committee for the South & S/W - Nil.
What happens if a project can not be approved within 14 days of its being submitted to the Special Committee ?
The Special Committee becomes null & void.
The money through the Treasury to the Regional Committee.
By the time Auditor general obtains permission to enter Killinochhi to conduct an audit, the Wanni would have completed it on their terms. Where is the accountability ?
Majority of the effected people are outside the N & E.
Majority of the effected area is N & E.
Why is not there exists a proportional representation in terms of population to have numbers sitting on these committees ?
So ! finally, who controls the money & development ?
What access does the S & S/W have to these Funds ? nil.
Who has to submit request for funds for development or upliftment of a police station or a forces camp located in the (06) divisions under the Wanni based regional office ?
Will it be you Special Forces ?????????????///

A gvnmnt can ask for helps in terms of finacial crises from international community. ODnt you know that??? when SL Gvnmnt ask for helps for funds and when LTTE terrorists ask for funds are realy - totally different, dont you get it??

SECURITY FORCES : You have only the Jaffna episode to speak. If you could not defend yourselves & Jaffna, my dear Security Forces would have had nowhere to run but swim to India.
What happen to all those other camps overrun & to the military hardware at those camps ?
I can remember verywell... It was 1982 & SLA Welfare section was going to Kilinochhi in a Armoured truck to purchase provision for the Elephantpass Camp troops.
They were going to Kilinochhi when they came across a Terrorists foot patrol. They could not turn the Armoured car to return to the camp. Half turned AC deserted, the troops crept under a 'BOKKUWA' ran all the way to the camp.
If late H.K. Karunaratne the SL Boxer & 2nd Lt. was alive , he would have narrated this story.. of course, the crowd there on their bellies that day rolling with laughter.
SF - As for the monies, You think International Reps care. they are in truck with the Wanni & will be busy plundering our natural wealth which will amount to several times more than their donation.

Jaffna & the SLA were saved by a professional soldier, Commander Janaka Perera... Otherwise, Jaffna too would have been overrun.
He was denied being the Commander of the Army as a result he opted for retirement.. Am I right ?
A professional soldier always shine & as a diplomat he is now doing a wonderful job.
Where do you stand in this equation ? A jack of all trades & master of none OR an empty vessel making lot of noise ?
Where is that ex soldier SK63 from an elite Colombo school ? Have not heard since he last advised you. Has he got sick of your bla.... bla.......

Problem is LTTE terros...LTTE should responsible for training suicide carders and promoting Terrorism in this world. There is no difference between al-quada abd LTTE,ohh..forgot...LTTE foce children fight for their leader against state Army....

Thanks for remembering me. Yes, I have been avoiding sending my posts to the forum. Not only me, there are quite a few other gentlemen (from both communities) who made valuable contributions but who do not contribute any more. Some names that come to my mind are Aritha Spice, Kanthun, Arialai, Nighthawk, Noel William, John and many others.
I can not speak for the others but I am keeping away due to a good reason. However, I think I owe the members of the forum an explanation. So here it is.
The forum has now turned into a bashing game. Members from both communities have started hurling insults rather tha exchanging views. I have had major arguements with members here but we never started gettting personal.
For example, I consider LTTE as a terrorist outfit and I have my reasons. Kanthun totally disagreed and we argued, never at personal level and never insulting each other or calling names. We agreed to disagree and we could converse on many other matters later on.

I also argued with Nighthawk we had different views, we agreed to disagree. I argued with Arialai because he thinks Tamils are deliberately ill-treated. I argued that ALL of us ill-treated depending on the individual we deal with. I gave the hardship I myself had at the customs and pension Dept. I did not insult Arialai and we could agree to disagree.
Wjen Mr. Materajah once called me a racist I can remember members from the tamil community whom I had my own arguements defending me. I can recall Arialay and Piranah both stating that I am not a racist. We argued and I still maintain LTTE is a terror outfit, but that should not cause members to call me names. That is my view, you may have a different view. I think my friend Nellan Thiru a scholar, some others think he is a traitor. I disagree then Let us argue not insult each other. I also think Kumar Ponnambalam shouldnt have been killed. If one disagrees let us argue but dont hurl abuse.
Sadly that is not happening any more. Some members send multiple post all insulting another member. Some cut and paste long articles which in all honesty no body reads.

So I decided not to participate in arguements. Some members here due to reasons best known to them are bitter about life and frustrated about their fate. They fail to see an arguement and they simply hurl abuse. Some are determined to call names and insult the others. I was disappointed and I kept away. I agree I should have made my sentoments known, but I did not. It is a failure on my part and I apologize.
This is my view gentlemen.
By calling Tamils 'stupid' we wont win the war against the LTTE. By calling Sinhalease 'stupid' Tamils wont get the Ealam either!
If an uneducated man like I can see that, how come educated folks who post here fail to see that?
Good luck guys. I will read and hopefully I will see some good comments some day! |
