AS we know international schools are mushrooming in SL. There are even international Kindergartens. I wonder if the the management of these schools know even how the word 'Intenational' can be used ton ame a school. I wonder if any of these international schools are being accredited by the Geneva based International school accreditaion system. I think not.

And then in SL the only criteria to attend a Internbational school is based on of the parents are able to pay the high fees. As a result teh attract students from various back grounds including parent who have large amounts of ill gotten money. It is a kown fact that the parents behaviour maily drives the childrens growing up pattern. Therefore international school in SL does not mean a cultured higher standard of behaviour. This doesn not mean that all kids are of bad character. Most are but there is the few who an be killers too.

In my view, the murder of this young lady is not a fault of International schools but the poor upbringing of the rascal who committed the murder. We hear about young men killing thier girl friend because she put a stop to the relationship fairly frequently in Sri Lanka. That happens every where in SL not only in Colombo.

I am saddened by the death of this young girl and my sympathies to the bereaved family.

Kella,

Thanks for your posting. Though I am not agreening to all what you said, I love this bit:

'Yes, our parents are responsible for our upbringing, however, once we become adults, we have to take responsiblity for ourselves.'

This will fix most of the 'FACTS' 'RIGHT'.

Kadiyo,

You are losing the faith I had on you. I do not want to become a Victorian style GENTLEMAN or a so called Moderator. But you are definetely ruining the GAME.

You wrote: So many hundreds of years we managed to keep demala at due place and never given a opportunity to uttered a single word.

This is absolute garbage, which you cannot even RECYCLE. We have thousand many solid arguments on our side to defend these PSYCHOPATHS. And statements like this undermines all the effort we put here.

I REPEAT. I DO NOTWANT TO BECOME A SELF DECLARED MODERATOR.

KADIYO,

I DO APOLOGIZE. I mis-interpret you and sorry for that.

PS: During the court hearing of SB (Dissanayake) for defaming the Judiciary with his 'Balu' story, he said 'he never considered BALU as a bad word that generally use for INSULTING some other'.

This just came to my mind from nowhere and has NOTHING to do here:-)))). Sorry for posting irrelevant stuff.

One thing I want to say is he was not planning it before in the night club, as you said. If he planned it before, there are so many ways of doing it without getting cought.

And he became a killer within 10 miniutes. He was with his girl friend before 10 miniutes and at that time he was a loving boy friend.

So how he became a brutal murdarer within 10 miniutes? because he was brought up in a violent culture, and night club aslo a part of that

Those days a boy took 10 -15 years to become a murderer. Have you heard of people like 'MARUSIRA, CHEENA all other notorious people? they took so many years to become a murderer. And still when they commited a murder, there was a reason(looting or gang war)but in this case this girl sacrificed her life for nothing and for no reason except his self satisfaction. (that means revenge). that is why people think that night club life might have helped to develop his mentality

I strongly feel that the parents are to be blamed for Yvonne's death. Especially the mother, as a born Sri Lankan the mother should have had a close tab on the daughter. I am sure this is a good lesson for all high society/class families to care for your children more.
