Tigers not tamed by P-TOMS: JHU

The Jathike Hela Urumaya (JHU) yesterday condemned the killing of three military intelligence personnel in Batticoloa by the LTTE and said the Government should take the responsibility as the Tigers had not been tamed through the P-TOMS as claimed by it.
JHU General Secretary Ven. Omalpe Sobhitha Thera said the killings took place in a government-controlled area, and said it was the first occasion in which more than one intelligence personnel was killed in one spot.
While expressing his sincere condolence to the families of the deceased, the Thera said the government had still no clear plan or programme to protect the intelligence personnel whom the he claimed were being hunted down as part of the LTTE's increasing military strength.
He said the state media with the support of senior government officials was trying to mislead the people saying that the dead officers were not intelligence personnel.
'Though the state media and Government ministers said the Tigers would be tamed by the P-TOMs, we can still see that our military personnel are being killed by the LTTE. This is a sad situation for the entire nation,' he said.
The Ven. Sobitha Thera said the eastern Muslims were rising against the P-TOMs and that the Government would be heading into political turmoil very soon.

When the new Government was formed,at the election for the Speaker, you all VOTED with the LTTE reps TNA parliamentarians and the Traitor Ranil's UNF to make a BIG LIAR who OPENLY said that there was no pact with LTTE while he was the BUDDHASASANA Minister.You all had the cussordness to sit along with LTTE/TNA members and the Traitors.And now blame the CBK Govenrment.What you all should have done was to extend the support to UFPA and Tamed the UPFA and also the LTTE.YOU ARE LATE NOW to advice CBK.So act wisely! |

well said,agreed with you - I did not here about Ven Sobhitha thero untill the election.Some of our friends those are involving recent politics use to say,Ven Sobhitha came from Sigapore, and sucpect as unknown spy joining to JHU and do the job for his Masters
As you said, Thero involved to keep UNP (Pro LTTE) Speaker
to support the LTTE
and started Unfinished Hunger strike,to change the people up rising againes P-TOM and get useless signature
And Also during the election always Theros speak aginst JVP/SLFP not UNP
who Knows wait and see !!!!!! |
