`We are encouraged by the tremendous response and the objective of offering such a package was to encourage travellers to visit the destinations and also to enable them to visit Sri Lanka to witness the post Tsunami developments, he said. `We decided this is the best way to move forward and the response was overwhelming`, he added.
The offer is valid up to travel before end of March and will depend on the seating capacity available. The traveller is eligible for this special fare for the tickets issued before February 28.
The travellers to London gain the maximum cost advantage flying from Chennai, Fazeel said and invited the intending travellers to make use of the offer before it`s expiry.

ravi_r. There is nothing wrong. With the travelling numbers are down & operational costs are static or escalating, the Srilankan is trying to woo the Indians to fly with then.
At 50% discount, if the flights are full the airline can breakeven or keep their nose above water without falling into the red untill such time the tourism picks up to our region.
This is business strategy - Looking for volume at hafl the cost other than running empty planes at full cost. |

Please, what joy of riding left in a plane after a full dose of natambi's incense. I won't fly with Srilankan again. I thought we had class.
