With respect to your reply to Dewey.
Why GOSl has to consider LTTE over the others. LTTE is about just 5000-10000 and including diaspora it is about 30000.
Sri Lanka has 20 million people. Whose interests are GOSL looking after LTTE or the Sri Lankans.
GOSL or any one else giving priority to the propagandist ideology of bunch of terrorists is the major mistake.
You also believed the same propaganda and your talk is based on that. |

India asks European Union to ban LTTE
NEW DELHI, December 5: India has asked the European Union (EU) to ban the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) by branding it as a terrorist organization.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has sent to the EU, through the Ministry of External Affairs, a dossier on the LTTE and three Indian terrorist outfits to be considered for a ban, according to informed sources here.
The LTTE has acquired notoriety for being one of the most lethal and well-organised terrorist groups in South Asia. India was the first country to ban the LTTE on 14 May 1992, an year after the outfit?s woman suicide-bomber Dhanu assassinated former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi at an election rally on the outskirts of Chennai on the night of 21 May 1991.
The outfit has since been banned by Malaysia, Canada, Australia, the United States (in 1997), and Britain (2001).
On September 26 this year, the EU barred Tamil Tigers from visiting its 25 Member States, and declared that it is actively considering listing the LTTE as a terrorist group. Condemning their 'continuous use of violence and terrorism' the EU asked the Tamil Tigers 'to take immediate public steps to demonstrate their commitment to the peace process and their willingness to change.'
The EU also decided that each of its Member States will, where necessary, take 'additional national measures to check and curb illegal or undesirable activities (including issues of funding and propaganda) of the LTTE, its related organizations and known individual supporters.'
Between May 1976, when Velupillai Prabhakaran floated the LTTE to wage an armed struggle for a separate Tamil homeland in Sri Lanka?s northern and eastern provinces, and February this year, the dreaded outfit carried out 241 suicide bombings---the most by any terrorist outfit across the globe. Its high-profile victims include India?s Rajiv Gandhi, Sri Lankan President Ranasinghe Premadasa, Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadirgamar, and a failed attempt on the life of Chandrika Kumaratunga.
The Indian dossier sent to the EU says the LTTE runs a wide network of publicity and propaganda activities through bases in at least 54 countries. Financial support comes in the form of donations, forced or otherwise, from expatriate Sri Lankan Tamils across Switzerland, Canada, Australia, the UK, the US and the Scandinavian countries.
If and when the EU formally bans the LTTE, that will freeze transfer of funds and financial assets of the outfit across all its 25 member states.
In its 29 May 2000 issue, TIME magazine estimated that the LTTE raises US$60 million annually for its 'war chest' from an estimated 900,000 Sri Lankan Tamils living in 40 countries. THE ECONOMIST of London estimated in its 20 July 2002 edition that a sum of US$4 billion was being withheld from the Tamil Tigers in the wake of the ban imposed on it by various countries. |

Every thing what i said above does NOT matter anymore. For the past six months or so, On this forum i pointed out over and over again that Mahinda
1. Has NO vision on anything.
2. Has NO no plan for anything.
3. Has NO expeeriance in managing international relations.
4. Has NO experiance in Managing an economy.
He has been in politics for over 30 years, a SENIOR minister for over 11 years and the PM for 18 months, but has absolutely NOTHING to show for.
When i pointed this out, people made FUN of me saying what mattered in SL was
1. Mahinda can CLAP to the BEAT
2. Mahinda can Wave properly
3. Mahinda has a Charming smile.
4. Mahinda has a Red towel.
I was told that all of Ranils skills and experiance and inernational connections did not matter. What mattered was Mahinda was a 'Game Miniha' :) :) :)..
Now you have got the President you wanted. He also happens to be the President the LTTE wanted. You are also about to get the war you wanted. I remember once someone said, (i think it was jay-r who once said here), If Mahinda and the JVP comes to power they will make a BBQ out of Wellawatta :) :)...
Now you have got the war you wanted also. Remember, how Wimal WeeraMONEY went around HOOTING how they are going to tear the CFA to pieces, kick out the Norwegians, wipe out the LTTE??
Remember how Homo wansa said that they will disband the Army if they can fight back??? :) :) :)
So now Prabakaran is tearing the CFA to pieces - you dont have to do that job. Now all thats left for people like Jay-r, AnuD, Muniraj, Gunepala, Wiejehewa, 109% Bidipala Wijesingha and the lot is to join, Wimal WeeraMONKEY, Homowansa, mangala P*onnaweera and go and wipe out the LTTE just like your leaders Promised.
THere is no need to argue with me or anyone else here. Just do what you promised :) :)

This is nothing but a cliché that every one knows. I am not interested in tired old clichés.
My posting was an attempt at a simple logical analysis of the ground-reality and the possible outcomes. Everyone seem to shout themselves hoarse about the results of the stance the two combatants have taken but seem to be oblivious to the stance itself. So my posting was to bring the focus back to the main issue. As usual I seem to have not succeeded. I have no particular line to push, LTTE or GOSL.
((The SLA might beat the LTTE in the killing fields, but the LTTE will survive as a terrorist organisation. This terrorist organisation will exist as long as the Tamil Diaspora continue to pay the extortion money to the local LTTE representatives.))
The logic of this defies belief. The LTTE started as a small band of youth and grew to such strength because it struck a code with Tamils who had grievances. They were also able to eliminate other weaker groups and individuals who didn't have such single minded purpose (I am not condoning, just stating what happened). And practiced a form of brutality that put the fear of God into the GOSL and the southern Sinhalese/Buddhists (for balance I also should add Tamils here, which I had overlooked earlier). The LTTE or organisations as such will exist as long as the Tamils feel discriminated in their own country of birth. End of story.

Why are you saying this to me??? Im not the President. Your Motta rala is the President and your JVP has the remote control to the presidency.
So dont do anything ranil did. Do the exact opposite, with out just HOOTING here.
Just curious - how much longer are you going to be shouting here like a mad man??? There the LTTE is killling soldiers all around. Now are you going to be here HOOTING or are you going to go and fight the LTTE like you always HOOT here? |

The slain Batticaloa MP will get a respectable funeral. He deserves one like this.
Next week the butchers who killed him will hail him as a hero and will put a 'chocolate medal' on his portrait!
Evey body knows that he was an honest peace loving Tamil who rejected terrorism by the wanni hounds!
The killers will definitely put the responsibility of his killing on the SLA or the Karuna group.....

PEOPLE STOP KILLING TAMILS
I'm no political analyst, but i know sure as hell, that WE need the Tamil people, cos i won't be a one plucking the Tea Leaves if they are gone, to hell with that
now that the GOSL have the JVP hooligans on their side, they should send them out twice every month or so, to tidy up and clean the 'Lima', show those people a bit of TLC by the singhala community, as an appreciation for their commitment to the welfare of our community, anyway them hooligans are always looking for something to do, like they can't stand still or something
man... if we kill all them Tamil people, who is going to be carrying around my 'Ala goni' when I go to the markets?

When I said that everyone should condemn the killing of Batti TNA MP, I didn't even know if he supports LTTE or not. Being in TNA, he should be supporting LTTE. Still I went ahead and suggested that everyone should condemn the killing because he is an elected official. I don't really understand people like you. Why would you glorify killing? How low can you get? This is the very same reason why I don't enjoy writing to this forum or reading what people like you say here. Most of you are burning with hatred. Some dont appear to have value of other's lives, only their own. Pure extremists! There is no discussion here.
