Naleen, Yes, he shouldn't have dumped the used condoms into the commode...it should be the last option.

Certain countries in Europe have an excellent way of making the general public reuse their plastic bags. For instance when you do the grocery shopping the consumer is not given bags for their goods at the check out. You either take your own bag yourself when you shop or you buy a bag from the supermarket paying a ridiculous amount.

Paying this ridiculous amount discourages them to by the bag, therefore they bring their own way of transporting the grocery. The consumer is aware of this high penalty, which has to be payed some times due to their negligence.

At least, I'm glad there aren't any unpleasant sites so rounding the Airport, such as people excreting in broad day light, in and around bushes. This is a common site when the plane takes off from Bombay International Airport in India.

I hope we will not reach to that level.

Good thing if we can do it for real. If I am not mistaken, Mr. Fowsie also tried to do the same when he was the minister. Again....money and politics would not let this happen (as in every thing else). As some one mentioned, this will be all forgotten by the next election, which would be in March or so. Even before, persons like 'Navaloka' will start selling polythene made national flags when it come to February 4th. They will not let this ban become a reality.
