Hello Newbie,

Quoted : [[[You will see the same situ, but, only difference is those people live without fear but in poverty.]]]

Fool.. Poverty give fear... And it's because you live comfortably that you don't see this reality...

You cannot understand .. Illusion

[[Most of the organizations and individuals in the south contributed and sent aids for tsunami victims sheltered in the north]]]

Excuse me but INDIVIDUAL contribution, is not a STATE contribution.

The STATE profited of the situation , they robbed people's money, they have stolen international countries gift !!

[[[Who pay the salaries of the doctors of those hospitals in the North and East? Who pay the salaries and expenses for teachers and government workers]]]

It's not the STATE who pay these employees... It's every SRI LANKANS !!

And fortunately for you that we (Sri lankans) continue to pay those STATE workers ... otherwise bye bye the forcebily united srilanka ..

With respect, Kural.

Mr. Kural
It seems that you didn?t understand the meaning of poverty and fear that I stated in my post

Of course poverty is relative but in plain and simple: lack of proper foods, shelters, health and education to name a few
Fear is the result of the presences of danger; for example: mothers scare to send their children to school because of the fear of the terror, not sure their return, under aged marriages are the result of fear to join terrorist group; people stay away from their home sleeping inside the jungles because of the fear of terror

Yes, Sri Lankan pays the taxes and tax payer?s money is going to hand of terrorist; who are getting the benefit out of this?

I agree that bunch of politicians are enjoy the benefits of international aids. And also, I strongly agree that these funds should not share with a terrorist group, it should directly go to the victims.

Tigeress19,
They must be trying to plant a few 'RAW' doctors in Kilinochchi.

They should also bring a few body bags for their return.

Dear newbie,
Among the approx. 20 million people in Sri Lanka, there are only 150,000 tax payers with tax files. Better check what percentage of those tax coming from Tamils.

Good Luck

kalukottan:

There are two types of taxes; direct and indirect. People who exceed statutory income ( I think now SL statutory income is 300K) have to pay direct taxes, i.e. income taxes. Every employee(except government workers) and individuals who exceed this income pay direct taxes as payee tax out of their salaries, after deduction we call 'take home'. It is up to the employee to open a tax file in Inland Revenue and this has plus and minus. As you said few business individuals have opened tax files i.e. around 150K. Remember you are talking about personnel tax not the company tax.

Every person including you and me pay indirect taxes to the government such as custom duties, GST and other levies. When we purchase goods and services we pay these taxes but, we dont have to open tax files. Lucky!

Now do the math....

I see this as India's COVER to get into Sri Lankan politics through the Tigers.

It should be done as per the right protocols, except during emergency.

It's like Sathyam, Dharmam & Prema. Sathyam is the Fact one knows at personal level. When we lift that fact to the higher level through COMMON laws to include the FACTS of others, it becomes Dharmam. When we practice that Dharmam in a way others can relate to, it becomes Prema / Universal Truth / Love.

India needs to start off with facts to follow in the path of Dharma

The people of Killinochi need to feel secure that the idols in their temples are safe. In 2003 when helping the Tigers through a UNDP project, I lovingly worhsiped Ganesh at the temple behind the Killinochi hospital. When I passed that way in September this year, the temple was decorated but Ganesh in the altar was missing. I was wondering whether it was because of the silver jewelry I had placed lovingly around Ganesh's belly and the silk saree that I had draped behind Him.

India would benefit the Tamils better, by sharing their religious wisdom. That is the best medication of the poor.

Gaja,
Whatever India does is for their strtegic interest. I would not trust them a cent.
If they are trying to enter Kilinochchi, it is with a particualr political purpose. Not for any other humanitarian reason.
We will be better off without them.
They are waiting to settle scores without tilting the startegic balance in Sri Lanka.
bye

Dear newbie,
Thank you for that consultancy service on taxation in Sri Lanka.
I myself is a tax payer and understand what you say. However, that does not alter my comments.

Once again check.
Good Luck

Thank you Kulakottan for responding.

If you genuinely believe this to be the case, then we must not allow India to lead. We must lead and let them follow.

Regards
