Diplomat,
I suspect, you may have a point but you are throwing out only scum. Please do not justify LTTE killings, no matter when they killed and how important the man who's been murdered, LTTE murder to keep the organisation alive. They don't try winning hearts of Tamils, but try intimidating them to keep under control. If they didn't threaten and force back, many in those areas would have voted. That shows how much the people dislike them.
Many in those areas are fed up with their taxation, arbitrary punishment, child conscription and cruelty. I think you are talking garb, especially when compared to child conscription and their cruelty in shooting people to death for those who are found guilty in their jungle courts.
Those who hoot for them on this forum are not those are threatened by the LTTE but expats who don't live there. There are people who support Devananda and Sangaree. They are regularly being threatened. Please write anything but don't try to justify terrorist acts. It is insane and disgracful to human beings.

Tigers Not only recruited Tamil children they also forcefully taken Muslim in different age groups to fight against the Govt. and when they AWOL they kill their family.

mostly Muslim youth rejected to fight with LTTE thats why they started mass killing in mosques and chased them away from their land.

and always Muslims tried to stay in the democratic arena south is still unwilling to realize that they had the major suffering. and it is not interesting to see some youth and monks waiting to wage another war against unarmed people as soon as the war ceases.

what a unfortunate country this is?

Hey diplomat!

I did not want to blame either Sinhalese , Tamil or Muslim. what i wanted to emphasize is if you try from now on-wards your children will have at-least a 20 years of peaceful history to learn in the schools! (I'm not talking about mahawansa and kings rule, its all about democratic and political history)

i think you got my point.
