RW has lost. With that SL has lost its immediate future to Prabhakaran and Singalese nationalists.

And much of SL's long term future now depends on the forign countries.

MR has won. Congratulations! Obviously SL has got the leadership it deserves.

Now what we have to do is start blaming India, Norway, US, UK, EU and all other forign countries possible for the problems in SL. And we should also ask them to give us money, so that we can keep our war going on. We are hell of a smart people!!

Anizam,

Please read PORUTHOTAGE67,

Those results in 1999 was achieved when CBK was having a total war with LTTE. When Tamils are allowed to cast their vote, that was the results in 1999.

So who could have predicted the real outcome of PE if LTTE allowed Tamils to vote at this election, too.

CBK won in 1999, with the support of CWC & MC. Do not insult the majority people of Sri Lanka by naming MR as president of LTTE.

LTTE will never accept a Sinhala President appointed by the southern part of the island. What they have expressed here is that by boycoting the PE. But in vain unless they get the international support again but subject to agreeing for a federal solution as the final solution for this ethnic issue.

If that many people were stripped off the electoral register, what did they do until the polling day? If they didn't get a polling card, they could have and should have checked it with the grama seveka to see whether their names are in the register or whether they missed out filling in the registration form. They had plenty of time for this.

Tiger BSS want both ways. They want the Sri Lankan elected Government to observe CFA and enjoy all perks including DPL facilities, Heli Tours, Medical Assistance, Food Fuel etc. etc.

As for franchise Tamile people did not have any option. The Tiger BSS imposed embargo and restriction. Is this is the majority view or democracy? or a facist reaction to a trend of unpopularity surging in.

Trying to raise a point? My foot!
