Anizam,
How Old are you mate?

LTTE Boycott:
It was a horrible mistake. After the supreme court ruling they were so unstable, couldn't make a decision. And then Karuna requested everyone to vote, this also made some anxiety in the LTTE's mind. Secondly, despite the voting in the general election, where TNA MPs made it to the parliament, voting for a Sinhala leader is a big risk for LTTEon it's way to a SEPARATE STATE.
-This proves that Ranil's claim that he is the trusted leader of all parties is a myth.
-This proves that LTTE is ready for negotiation is a myth.
-This proves that LTTE is in favor of federalism is a myth.

Above all, it proved that TV advertisement and electronic mud campaigns alone cannot guarantee a win in Sri Lankan elections for the second time, because it is not USA.

Although I freely admit that I am not a contitutional lawyer, I am not even sure that it is entirely legal for the TNA members to sit in the parliament. Does the constitution of the country really allow for sitting of MPs who have the single objective in mind of undermining the institution of national government ? I think not.

PS: Bitter Acceptance comes after the 'denial'.

You have 12 years of crying ahead of you if you people do not change the skipper of the sinking ship.

This is how it all happened:

'Boru Kiyoo Aanduwa Gedara Yawamu' ---» 'Better Economic Management, Foreign Aids and Stock Exchange' ---» 'S.B. Wahaa Nidahas Karanu'---» 'Kussiye Yuddayata Nimawak' ---» 'Eksesath'---» 'Pas-Dun, Perakum, Myanmar, Lokuma Chaithya' ---» 'Karuna Break-up and Nationa Flag' ---» (Election Loss) ---» Hora Chanda and Hora Givisum ----» ...

Poor blokes still do not know what has happened. Now these gentlemen are waiting for Mahinda to fail in bringing down the price of Haal Messos, so that they can start it all again.

GOD BLESS UNP.

I think the south and all the other hardline sinhala buddhist are rejoicing the victory of MR. The little realise that their joy is only a very very short one. Time will tell soon on their decisions.

The only thing I see from LTTE, is they haven't changed.
They killed Premadasa who gave Cement for bunkers, and weapons to hit back IPKF.
They killed Rajiv, who helped to do all training and more than that.
Now
They have killed Ranil politically and morally who gave equal status to a legitimate government and who gave license to kill long range unit of AI and many more.
The spots of a tiger never changes with the habitat change...

Mahinda knows it... and he knows who are behind them...
It's not LTTE boycotted the election, they knew if the Tamil people voted, the country would have seen the clear picture of the control of LTTE, how much they have lost the grip of Tamil community...
It's not strategy,.. It's ultimate fear... FEAR... Nothing else.

Piyal:

My only concern is they talk about 1956 and SWRD Era.

Whether LTTE butchers would act like SOmarama or Buddharakkita.

Nitharsanam.com was guessing it before the election.

GOSL has to penetrate well into LTTE.

Roshara what you have mentioned is correct. It's a typical case of 'Kakuluwa natanne wathura rath wenakam'.

The LTTE is ready big time to face the SL forces. They have re-grouped re-trained and re-armed them selves to the teeth and are ready. If the war commences for what ever reason that will spell annihilation of our forces and us. The tigers are simply waiting for it to start. Each time the war stopped and commenced the magnitude of force has been increasing. Only hope the day war commences never dawns.
