UNITED:

Accept the truth.

Ranil Listened to the CHURCH bought - all foregin image makers and starategy makers, but did not listen to the Sri Lankan People's voice.'

He heard very clear even from tamils that they wantED peace.

Ranil alligned with LTTE because the church wanted it.

NOw, LTTE, as usual double crossed Ranil.

Church lost and Ranil LOSt. Pabakaran is taking tablets for his worsened Hemorrhoids.

YOU KEEP ON ASKING POLLS.

Tamils in North Corner

Sinhala Extreamists in South Corner.

The Boxing match is on. Where they beat the hell out of each other. This forum is reflective of that. This does not need brains. After they beat the hell out of each other both get hurt. Then they go to the guy with the brains, the doctor. He has to fix the problems. That has been our history. each and every time UNP had to come in to power and fix the problems.

This is what will happen when third grade brainless SK politicians like Mahinda, P Mangala and Wimal mislead people.

Unfortunately the boxing match will be on for the next six years. By the day this forum is reflective of that. Extreamists from both sides are screaming at each other. From what I see, Mahinda's honey moon seems to be over with in just one day.

Jatatahne for PM. This is a bloody joke. The country is a joke and it leaders are hilarious. No wonder all these other countries are tyring to poke their fingers in our affairs.

Get the facts right and don't distort them

The vote for Mahind was 50.29% not 51% as everyone keeps on saying.

So the vote for war, if that's what it means is extremely slim.

As for me I cant wait for the fireworks to begin!

I am in another country, nowhere near where the war will happen. I have read all the speeches given by Bush and his cronies (yes, guys like me who have nicely avoided any war) to those poor sods who are shipped out to Iraq. I can write stirring patriotic speeches for either Sinhalese or Tamils, and I'll do it for free. I have no sides, just like to see the blood and gore!

In the meantime like Mahinda and Praba, I'll concentrate on the education of my children. Let some other poor sod's children lose their lives and limbs for our unshakable patriotism.

Mid off,
You are trying to say that sole representatives of NE people are LTTE which is completely proved wrong by now.If Tamils and Muslims listen to LTTE they will ask people of NE to vote for Ranil without any fear. But they knew that only less than 20% will vote Ranil if they supported openly Ranils victory.Previous election proved that with the LTTE's full back up and loads of malpractices they could get only less than 20% of votes from NE votes. They didn't want to show their strength among NE people to the outside world. And they thought that Ranil would win without their help, according to the UNP backed opinion polls suggested.People of NE are fed up with all these southern politics and LTTE extremist politics as well. That's what suggest by their poor interest in elections of Sri Lanka. They don't care what southern politicos say and what LTTE say.
Elections are over.look at the clear reality now.

SomaRama,

Yes run for your lives. If you don't like it ,just leave the country. Since your great Nayakathuma is a good supporter of the west and admired by the west, developed western countries will no doubt open the door for you guys. You will get a chance to live a good life with the values you always wanted to establish, which Sinhala 'Modayas' doesn't want to accept.

P.S. If you don't mind please take those private TV channels with you. And you might catch the same flight with Lalith Kotalawala, who must now be leaving Sri Lanka for good.

OOPSE,

As an individual Mahinda's powers are limited to his wisdom. We saw through his position of PM that this was not much.

As for the + Power - which party gives him that power? Who are the party elders whose wisdom that power is based on?

It looks as if you are 'comfortable' at Mahinda's level and hence are trying to limit others to that level by stretching your wishes to the National level. You seem to forget that as President Mahinda now has to face International challenges through International issues, including race related issues. Do you have examples of Mahinda's success in these issues at lower levels? Otherwise your endorsement is mere hearsay.
