The real truth that may not be palatable to many Sinhalese is, it's not the president who sets the agenda but Prabakaran; he is the master of Sri Lankas' fate. To hell with the president's speech - what he wants to do is still a Chintanaya, while Praba has set all his strategies in motion - the real speech everyone in waiting with baited breath is Prabakaran's.
When Praba wants to fight we fight, when he wants to stop we stop, when he kills our ministers we give speeches of fire, bury the dead, and soon forget (2 weeks, a record I guess) then sue for peace again. Mahinda wants peace, Ranil wants peace, CBK wants peace, now Praba wants war! Like good Sinhalese what do we do? Call him names, as if he cares!
I say let the fireworks begin, both sides want the battle. The best that can happen is people on either side who want war will fight and eliminate each other so the others can go on with their lives.
At least the Tamils can fight for their freedom, luck is on their side; we poor sods are stuck with Mahinda, Mangala and the miserable band of bungling buffoon for another six years.

| Peacefull?thats too early to say.it's only been 4 years since the ceasefire.thats like telling a grade 4 student that he's diciplined.anyway the stupid majority in the south who r the least affected by the ethnic crisis will continue to demand to eat the cake and have the cake both. |

They have done alot shaf.
the 17th elections would have showed who the true leader and listener of the north and the east is. if those ppl were allowed to vote.if the majority voted for RW who stands saying 'power sharing' it would have ended ltte leaders goal.does the ltte leader realy represent the common tamil man in the north anymore?one this for sure is that he is a v.v smart and shrewd man. |

OK again y cant you guys come down to b-c and d-c like pacts and what is the purpose of election boycott. y cant your leader just say we will come down from a peas of land to a peaceful settlement.
have you ever called any govt. for a negotiation other than they calling you?
when you come to a peas of land what if other minority want a peas of your land.. will you just give it out with a smile or do a mass killing? |
