Why should'nt we have as our Prime Minister a moderate Tamil and make Mr. Anadasangaree as the Prime Minister? |

Douglas Devananda should be the foreign minister.
Why should we ask President to follow a more democratic way in which the PM cndidate sbows he is capable ?.

You seem to be pathetically short of vocabulary I see, little wonder the likes of you in this forum root for like minded leaders who dont have the interest of the country at heart! D. M. Jayaratne was the Minister of Post and Telecommunications and Upcountry Development in the last (dissolved)Cabinet. He once held Agri portfolio...
Anyway, how can he claim premiership when UNP won all seats in Kandy District??? Better to consider any other capable person to back Mahinda. |

My mentor is the universtiy of life.
Douglas Devananda of course today is a more reformed man than the former militant who has blood in his hand. Being a former militant he does not have the respect of the international community as a genuine moderator like Mr. Anandasangaree who had been in the field of democratic politics for a along time. |

Unfortunately our society is still not advanced enough to reach across the barriers of ,ethnicity, religion , cast and etc. So asking the public by a referendum to solve major issues will not be a success. Therefore it is important that we have a leadership with wisdom and back bone who can make decissions to take the nation forward. |

| I wish there is a better alternative to DMJ, unfortunately all our good leaders perished. I sincerly hope Mahinda R can pull the country together, but he needs to be supported by everyone. Me are always used to finding fault with anything the other does. Media is the worset culprit with political motives. I think it is the Media who can shape up the country,culture and the future. So everyone please act responsible. Give everyone a chance, terms such as hardline,racist are too early to call for. Let the actions speak. No one wants to start a war, we all need a dignified peace with in a spesific time frame. LTTE wants weak leaders who act lame and spine less. |
