Uduwe is more popular among women. He is a handsome guy and many women like him irrespective of his unethical behavior. He has well establised his vote base among women.
We have to educate our women first before we address the core issue. Sexual feelings are common to everybody but we should not take critical decisions based on that. |

Monks like Uduwe & Sri Sumanagala are a shame to buddhism & Sri Lankan buddhist community
People should not entertain these sort of monks as they are clearly going for politics for the sake of easy money, power & luxury life.
Buddha sasan set-up in Sri Lanka should remove these politically motivated, disturbed monks from their 'bikkhu' status and kick their as..s for good. |

In what context this 'support' comes from?
The monk joined everyone else in the country who congratualted the president on his victory but the media twists the story around and say that the thero is 'supporting' him...
I too would like to know the source of this article... |

| There are third class comments made especially by this Gunapala and Popey etc. Even Lord Buddha was subjected to these kind of comments during his life by Devadatha etc. So we can expect Devadatas to exist now as well in the forms of Gunapala (you should reconsider your login name) and Popey etc.All we have to do is be patient toward them understanding their nature. I personally respect Ven. Uduwe Dhammaloka Thero for the things he had taught to correct my life and people who have listened to his Dhamma sermons know there value. I don't see anything wrong with supporting the President especially to relive the pressure of the extremist like JVP, otherwise country will go into further confusion. If I had a chance to vote I would have voted for Ranil but now it is over and we have to be in peace with elected president whatever our personal views are. |
