Even with foreigners helping to write the UNP political strategy, they screwed up.
The very first thing, UNP should fire those in the Strategy building group and never to hire them again.
Sri Lanka, irrespective of the ethnic group, wanted PEACE, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND BETTER LIVING CONDITIONS.
Instead, UNP tried to fool everybody including LTTE. UNP should not have shown that they have a soft spot for LTTE. LTTE is only about a few thousand with respect to votes.
Knowing that many did not like LTTE, UNP should have used that sentiment to gain votes. Instead UNP showed that they LTTE -friendly and at the end they contradicted themselves which backfired from both sides.
From the begining insead of using the word 'federal' they should have used 'UNITARY' with some power devolution. That is where they went wrong first.
They should have talked in a way to devide LTTE high rankers from not so hard core LTTEers and poor tamils who in the LTTE without any other alternatives.
UNP did not think the right way. UNP should have worked in a way to appeal for people who Say that sri Lanka should be Unitary and United, Instead UNP was appealing to LTTE and to United country. Both these groups were anti-LTTE.
Some tamils think Pabakaran is a genius. He is a looser and a failure. As long as he is hiding and talks to no one, he stays the 'genius'. After some years those tamils understand how Pabakaran screwed up them.
Mahinda Rajapakse also did not hanlde things very well. So he needs to think about his work. HOw ever, CBK was controlling everything, he did not have much space to move around. |

I am sure that our people has made the best possible decision this time. Also, LTTE has shown us again that they are moving towards their primary objective by forcing Tamil people to not to vote and not helping Ranil. Their interest is on their political advantage but not on Ranil.
This is a good lesson to our political leaders not to believe terrorists and help them for political benefits.
Finally, I would say that Ranil deserves this defeat and all the best to our new president and the country. |

UNP is also ran
But they ran well
Of course they had Rs one billion to spend on the election
Yet they lost and MR won
What matters is the final result

| LTTE understood the double standards of Ranil better than the Tamil Diaspora. UNP can mislead the public and the Tamil Diaspora but not the LTTE butchers. |

Ranil
It is time to go Home
If you are not welcome home you still have Dhamarloka as your mate and you can go to him |
