Thank you Oldpuli for the words of appreciation. How can I be the best and you have respect most for Nada and Pera?
When you feel don't think and v.v. With me stick to feeling and with Nada and Pera - think - so you rise to higher material levels to include others in your conscious world.

Nada,
I thought you were going out of Australia!! Did Oldpuli learn from you?
A small correction in the translation of Kannathansan song. Ullam = heart and Manam = mind.
It's a beautiful song with deep meaning. It also says that until we need to - to let the Truth we know sleep in our hearts. Yoga Swami says this through his advice for us to learn the langauge of the dumb (Oomai elluthu arinthidada)
I often use the saying by Owwaiyar (I think) 'Koddithu, koddithu illamaiyil varumai; athanillum kodithu muthumayil selvam'.
Translation : Evil is poverty in youth. Greater evil is wealth in oldage.
I believe that the second part fits most of us. Are you old and rich????

Thank you Oldpuli. From the bottom of my heart - you ARE my son. Love knows no good or bad. The heart does not calculate. As Kannathasan said through Nada, the heart is full when filled with love / Truth and therefore it looks as if it is sleeping.

OLDPULII
Thanks for your comments and please do not misunderstand me. I think you got connected to me more than Gaja. Sometimes I enjoy your posts and at other times it irritates me when you insult some senior members. still, you have not taken me for a ride although I expected one.
The best part I like is when you are with that professor. Both of you take each other for good rides, in Sinhalese folk tales there are two similar characters called Gampalaya and Raigamaya.
Yes, I am much elder to you, in fact today, 21st Nov. I celebrated my 42nd Birthday.
Good luck for your trip to Perth, if you are really in AUS. Edited By - LuLa - 21 Nov 2005 22:42:11 GMT |

Gaja,
Thanks for your reply, I have a lot to say but my time is very limited.
I think you have misunderstood the whole concept of self realization. I can discuss on this matter for days, but due to lack of time I?ll put it to some other day.
You asked me a question regarding your letter,
?As a matter of interest, did you find it boring or irrelevant to your life as a whole?
As I told you earlier, I do not fancy reading your long posts unless it is addressed to me. Here, in your letter, I found the names of some of my relatives which prompted me to read it.
Well, I prefer not to comment on it. |

Happy birthday Lula.
Thank you for responding.
When you invest in issues, you will find my letters more interesting that you do right now. The more you invest through people who are close to Truth and Policy, the closer you are to the issue. Gradually the personalities disappear and only the issue remains in your memory. Then you will take pain and pleasure with equanimity of mind.
If you read the letter due to your relatives, then that was the value for you. To me every member of the Jaffna College Alumni is a relative. Those who invested in my work for the alumni are closer relatives and others are distant relatives. Part of the investment was through criticism.
