Karuna is just another Anandasangaree , or douglas devananda , nothing else. they are writen off by tamils they can no longer go to tamil land and face tamil people. if they do people will throw ________ i dont know what.
now that these people have no choice , whoever throw bones they swing their tail and bark.
Karuna spilit did not help LTTE , because at a time all tamils need to unite this guy was saying discrimination against east by northern tamil. theose wonderfull people in east rejected him claim staraightaway. but for a moment people in north shocked and looked them self in the mirror. all tamils have 150% confident in LTTE leadership.
i can give a simple example , at one time LTTE cannot take some of their soldiers body to east because of war , LTTE leadership ordered the bodies of their North soldiers should not be delivered to their home either.
it should be crimated at a common place same way as the east soldiers. and it should be held as a public funeral. ( expence pid by LTTE)
there was one case one in north mother want her son body home , saying it is the tradition that when people die their family stay in house and dont go out in public. but LTTE refused she waited for the body , the body never come home. |

As someone before me has suggested why cannot he give his robes and take to army uniforms so that hw illstrenghten our arm forcess.It is high time that eveyone think of humanity before a plate of rice. |

President Premadasa also helped the enemy of the enemy, believing the old saying that he is a friend. And got the results from LTTE.
This time the history is repeating itself. The SL govt is helping (or expecting help) from the enemy of the enemy, Karuna, and expecting results ??
There are so many awaiting to gloat.

Cobler , you did not see the point Prabaharan took the offer because
he wants the indian army out. if someone is paying to clear the rubish in your back garden why waste, it should be cleared anyway.
every srilankan owe to prabaharan. because if he hadnt kick them out they will be in 3/4 of srilanka by now.
if Rajiv gandi was killed because he send the troops and they distroy our towns and city and killed 1000s it is the quick judgement. and fair judgement. my town was distroyed by indian army. and i do remember the days. at least we can forget at last the judgement is done.
1991 chandrika started the war for peace , and killed thousands of people and still she walkaround as peace queen, and it looks LTTE have pardon her.
i doubt tamils will ever forgive her.
SL government can help Karuna , only way they can help is to give him protection , just like devananda , or anandasangaree ,
i still have somesypathy for karuna , he was badly advised and used by srilankan government. LTTE would not kill him , he may face trial at LTTE court and LTTE wanted to findout what went wrong and where and they willl study that to prevent any future |

With all respect, do you honestly think there is any point in talking about a court system haphazardly cobbled together by an outfit in its attempts to create a sense of authority they want the rest of the world to believe that they enjoy?
I am no fan of Karuna. But this Karuna business shows the issues and splits LTTE has within the organisation. We have seen similar incidents before. Mahattaya, Yogi etc are examples.
I dont know who really put this Karuna business together. Whoever did it, it was done over a long time. It apears to be a carefully planned, well thought of strategy. I would not trust Karuna though. Not in million years. It is undeniable however, that Karuna is causing severe damage to the LTTE. Th news I get from Batti is that LTTE has lost its grip completely in the East.
If LTTE ever wanted to prevent such incidents they had all the time in the world. Their way of settling such problems and preventing them recur is a very simple but a not so civilized method. If I may put their method as mildly as possible (so that I wont upset any body), it is called 'Elimination'.
Frankly Ajan, as an educated man do you think this practice of 'Elimination' would help an organisation? It does in pursuit of terrorist activities. It does not help in a democratic society.
If LTTE is to be taken seriously as an organisation marching towards democracy, they have a very very long way to go. It is so long a way that they themselves appear to be slowly forgetting about that prospect.
My humble opinion anyway!

Why is the UTHR(J) stating the obvious at this time when an important election is about to take place?
The Karuna split obviously weakened the LTTE but to say that the LTTE has lost total control of the East is wishful thinking.
It seems to me that the UTHR(J) is trying to encourage the people to vote for the candidate of the Sinhala racist parties, Mahinda, in order to get him elected, which will definitely result in another war.
If the UNHR(J)'s intention is to encourage the GOSL to militarily eliminate the LTTE, they are in for terrible dissappointment. The LTTE has seen splits and divisions before and managed to survive and become stronger.
Anyway the UTHR(J) now is a one man show and no one should give its opinions any credibility. |

| Nada: You have to be congratulated. I stronly feel that some of our contributers to this column are not on the proper track. I am unable fathom as to where they were in 1983 and before in 1977 and before in 1958 (may be in the womb). Kuruna's stunt is nothing new from the east. WE all know what RAJADURAI did and why he has to hide and live in ...... See what Duglas is doing, is it for the love of Tamils?. This is a cronic disaease and possibly infectious --see poor Anandasangaree, We have had a buch of these down the line. Someone is worried about the leadership. Ours is not like JVP to finish with one ROHANA, there will be hundreds of Prabhas. PLEASE BE ASSURED THAT LTTE IS NOT SHORTSIGHTED. Actions are difficult for these people to understand. It is a well planned CHESS GAME. You can guess the end. |

Thanks for the note. This stooge Rajadurai now lives in Penang, Malaysia with PR, arranged by Minister Sami Velu. But he was asked to keep his mouth shut and to lead a very low profile existence.
2 years back Ranil as Prime Minister visited Kuala Lumpur and there was a function by the SL Embassy. I too was there and this bloke came and got drunk well and truly in the free scotch that was flowing. When finally Ranil walked in, to every body's embarrassment he ran toward him and hugged him and kissed him without any decorum and to the discomfort of every one. Partly because he was drunk.
From the little chat I had with him I was able to feel the sense of frustration, the sense of guilt and the remorse for his actions and to lead a secret life in Malaysia. Heavy drinking is one of the manifestations.
When you do things against your conscience it will at least one day begin to haunt you. |

Really over estimating his capabilities. He is crying for recognition, it is immaturity. Hope one day he will mature, at least that is what happens to many. The understanding of God too is in the same wave length.
