Thank you Magha for the response. What you have said is facts. But how relevant are those facts to my belief in Sai Baba? I do not believe in Him for the materialisation. I believe in Him for what it does to me. I am talking about Love and you are talking about sex - of the kind Dr.Kovoor practiced.

Happy Deepavali

Thank you noel-william for responding.

You say 'This shows your lack of knowledge either in Hindu or Catholic or both religions'

The reason I matched the Anglican with Vishnu devotee was because they are both not based on 'families' - but take the 'Our Father' concept. Likewise Shiva devotee and Catholics is because they both have Holy Families. How is this to be taken as lacking in knowledge?

What is the 'other' side of Gandhi? The Gandhi I am interested in is the one who had very little interest in material benefits. At that level there are no sides.

Who told you about the Father of Jesus justifying people of 'other religions' differently? When I was studying at Holy Family Convent, Jaffna, the nuns there said that if we went to see films we were committing sins. Had I believed that I would not have become a deep follower of Mother Mary. You interpret what I say differently to myself. Likewise your interpretation of the Bible. Hindu elders also say that meat eating is wrong etc. People tend to rule as per their own virtues and sins - so it is convenient for them. Once we become independent, we must have our own rules for ourselves. That way we justify ourselves. You will call that You Our Father and I will call that Me Shiva.

About your religious pain, I thought that you were in pain because you said you were not crazy about bible and said that you would explain why if I wanted you to.

As for ISCHAEMIA saying that you do not have the AMAIPU - that was his way of expressing what he saw in you. He is young and hence lacks the diplomacy.

As for me measuring the closeness of people to their souls, it's just an immediate intuitive connection - the kind you might have felt for your wife when you first met her. You are not a bad soul but I believe that there is more superficial information covering your soul than ISCHAEMIA's soul.

No, I do not consider those who agree with me as my soul mates. Often my soul mates start fighting with me as you are doing now.

As for the purpose of religion, I agree with what you have said. We just need to work towards those goals at least amongst ourselves.

About 'please control yourself' - the first one with the please in front is good manners. The second one without the please is dictatorial. I felt that you were annoyed with me at this point and hence you wanted to say 'control yourself' but added the please in front for good manners - a little bit pretentious. Me telling you where your soul is with the feeling of a mother. If you had said control yourself with the feeling of a father, I would have been happy about it - as you did later - as a son.

If Sai Baba is beyond prosecution - then is that not proof of His superiority in the material world over the likes of Gandhi? They both did not / do not hold official positions. Does that not say something to you?
As for Sai's criminal acts on the internet, they may seem like virtues to me. It's in the eyes of the beholder. Krishna was also considered a thief and a cheat and Jesus were also considered a criminal by the rulers of the day.

About seeing ourselves through Him - it is like seeing ourselves in the mirror. Truth is that mirror. When we have faults we see them through realized people. When people seek to hide their faults, they give the person they are seeing themselves through a bigger portion of their fault - so they would look good. They do so when they abuse their position to make themselves look good.

As for different interpretations of the Bible, do all Canadians interpret the Canadian laws the same way? Yet it largely works for them because they want to live with each other in harmony. Likewise the Bible helps Christians live in harmony with each other. There may be many Christian groups but when challenged by an outsider you come together like a family.

A family man is expected to use sex to realize love. Likewise a migrant is expected to use financial gains to realize ownership as a citizen. A priest is required to be not driven by sex because the priest is already at the higher level, close to Love for ALL. Likewise, a native is required to be not driven by money because the native is already at the higher level of ownership. I do not directly know of anyone controlled by sex. I know of many who are driven by sex some of the time. It's when we are able to raise it to the higher level, that it leads to love. At the higher level, you work for others to enjoy pleasures and happiness. Likewise with money and all other pleasures.

Dear GAJA, NOEL and MAGHA:

1. I am not a SAI devotee, but someone who is trying to be a Buddhist 'as much as' he can (Naththi me saranam agngnagn, Buddho me saranam waran.., if my PALI is correct).

2. Sai BABA could be a Criminal, Magician etc. But criticising him on the 'basis' of Abraham T Kovur's challenges is unacceptable. Further, to me, both Kovur and Sai Baba devotees are just two sides of a single coin. One BELIEVED Science whereas the latter believe in Sai Baba. The maximum Kovur could have achieved by his chalenge would be a round of claps in the eyes of gallery full of people who do not believe Sai Baba. But, it would never prove the basis of his arguments (i.e. Science) as correct.

3. MAGHA: FYI, this is not a project or a mission to me.
