Mahinda offers more to armed forces

Ruling party Presidential Candidate Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakse is offering more facilities, for the armed forces and the police, if he is elected as the next President of the country.
Ports and Aviation Minister and Rajapakse campaign co-ordinator Mangala Samaraweera said yesterday that the Premier has pledged to offer the full pension to the members of the armed forces and also to build 50,000 houses in Ranaviru villages.
Samaraweera said a committee would be appointed to see if the government could write off debts and also to provide other facilities such as purchase of vehicles. Minister said there was a plan to modernise the police, provide training, technical assistance and other know how and make the police friendlier towards the people of the country.
Rajapakse`s campaign co-ordinator also said the Premier has done more for the workers of the country and they would also implement a new benefit scheme, which include vehicle permits, for the public servants .
JVP Parliamentary group leader Vimal Weerawansa said that they had unearthed a character assassination campaign carried out against Prime Minister Rajapakse in the Sapugaskanda area after police arrested two persons yesterday.

Mahinda teamed up with JVP and JHU , both are army deserters ,
there are lots of money to be made. there are 10s of thousands soldiers are missing in action some in JVP and some in JHU and most are dead , by offering arm forces funds house etc means he and his gangs can make much money, declare 20,000 missing in action as dead and trasfer the funds to his helping armforces account. and reguler pensions to the same account. |
