One hundred fifty school children and nearly fifty physical instructors and coaches participated at the two-day football coaching classes conducted by the German coach Holger Obermann at the Vincent Dias Stadium.
The programme was organised by the FFSL with the assistance of the Badulla District Football League.
The coaches were given many finer tips and the way in which the students should be trained. Rain was a spoiler, otherwise many more programmes could have been conducted.
Holger Obermann was a professional soccer player in Germany. He had been the coach for 20 countries, including countries like Nepal, Malaysia, Philippines, East Timor, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Gambia and Cameron.
Director Youth Football Development R. M. U. Mahindapala and Badulla District Football League President Sarath Fernando also graced the occasion.
